should be a big gate and the atmosphere last year was brilliant lets just hope the crowd trouble will not be repeated Leeds play Southampton at home that day 3.00pm kick-off so chances are there will be? ?? Surely that's why we've had to move to SUNDAY? D'oh!!

Yes, we've got to allow the headbangers a good night's rest before they come to Nethermoor.
Duh!

One thing about common sense, Adam, - it isn't all that common!

It's Plod's decision - because they don't have enough wooden-tops to police both massive events on the same day, LOL (for Adam),
It's easier to move our game, and start it at 12 on a Sunday so (hopefully) there is less chance for the two groups of "fans" to be pi$$ed before it kicks off (the match, not the fighting) . Not that the real fans are involved in any trouble though - just the "fans".
For those who weren't there last year, there was little or no trouble at all inside or outside Nethermoor and the FCUM fans were great - quite vocal but good spirited nevertheless.
What trouble there was was in Guiseley, I think at the Station pub and maybe a couple of others - between some LUFC and MUFC "fans" who had come along just to kick-off at each other. It was stamped out pretty quickly and actually amounted to very little (I have a friend who is a special constable and was involved last year).
I agree that is seems more sensible to let us both play at 3 on Sat as the Leeds fans will be busy at Elland Road (especially given their current good form). Perhaps plod is over estimating the "risk" our game poses?

They haven't the sense to work that out, volvoman. Have you noticed how few plods have suffered swine flue? That's because they're too slow to catch a cold.

Plod won't turn up until four hours after the final whistle anyway. Especially if they think there's going to be any trouble! No doubt they'll be arresting some poor old granny whose just handbagged the thug who tried to mug her.

Careful Staedler you don't want to get picked up by the Fuzz....as that would be very painful.
Richard, the real reason for this thread is for people to have a go at the local constabulary and to wheel out as many nicknames for them as possible. I admire people's restraint for not using the obvious name when swine flu was mentioned.

Yes, it's getting so vindictive we might have to consider giving the Chief Constable the Right of Reply.

Richard, the real reason for this thread is for people to have a go at the local constabulary Far from it Pris, my mate in the Specials couldn't work out why the hell they were there either! She (yes, SHE) reckoned a couple of them in a van outside The Station (pub) and another couple at the White X would have done. Of course the Chief Constable would suggest that their very presence meant there was little or no trouble - to which I would probably reply -"bowlicks, Sir". Costs us money too.
