Away to Nuneaton Town if successful tomorrow night And Nuneaton may want the winners of the replay to agree to a friday evening on sunday lunchtime fixture, due to a clash with the rugby club they share their pitch with

2.5 hours away. Lame. I believe they can do it and get us a 1st round tie. Starting with hammering the physical but (apart from that number 9) not very skilful Kendal tomorrow night.

I remember the last time we played Nuneaton for the bad injury that more or less finished Simon Phillips football career. I think we won though and that would be in the cup 10 years ago. I am sure Bruce will be able to put me right.

Well remembered disguiselee - it was 16 October 1999 when we played Nuneaton Borough away in the 4th qualifying round and won 3-2. Nuneaton Borough folded with debts in excess of £1m in 2008 and were relegated from the Conference into the (now) Zamaretto League where they reformed as Nuneaton Town, ground sharing with the rugby club.
That year we went on to lose 6-0 at Forest Green Rovers in the first round proper - that's probably the furthest I've ever travelled for a Guiseley game and we got thrashed!

And I got drenched to the skin in a 50-yard dash to the ground, arriving when we were two down, and a parking ticket when we got back to the car. Happy days. Nuneaton was brilliant, though, Tony Agana sneaking the winner after their fans had been giving it large. ;D ;D ;D

once went to Nuneaton's old ground to watch a game as I was working in Coventry at the time. Took some potos of the ground (as you do) and was approached by two richard-heads in reflective jackets asking which housing developer I worked for. To no avail I protested my innocence and was told to either hand over the camera or leave the ground. So I left and told them to expect the Barratt bulldozers within six months (bluff I might add) so when they went bust within four months imagine my delight. After all, who in their right mind eat's nuns?
