What a sickener - I'd have loved a real Cup run. But, hey ho, the road to Wembley starts again on Saturday. And in two weeks' time the lads will now have the chance to practice their finishing, courtesy of those generous guys at Durham.

The team that was the better side by a mile lost but the idea of the game is to put the ball in the net and we just couldn't do that last night. Someone said that the game was being watched by people from Nuneaton I bet they were pleased that Guiseley lost. I just hope that the team can put a show on like last night at home for the supporters that can't get to the away games. Very well played lads you didn't deserve to get beat.

Disappointing to be knocked out but from the sound of it GAFC were the better team in both games. It's a shame also because I worked in Nuneaton for 4 years and would have liked to see them brought up here for a replay. Also I won't now be able to recite my list of famous people from Nuneaton (more than you'd expect)....unless people would like me to anyway?

I missed the Burscough game, but last night was the best football I've seen from Guiseley all season. The defence looked rock-solid, the midfield moved the ball about sweetly and the forwards were several times within inches of putting the game beyond Kendal's reach.
The one thing I'd say is that we desperately need another left-sided defender. While Fitz is out - and for the occasions when he has to fill in for the centre-backs - there has to be an option that doesn't involve losing Mezza's surging runs down the left. Wally did a sound job out wide, but we missed his niggling aggression in the box.
Still, I'm sure lessons have been learned - better in the Cup than in the League - and playing as we did we'll win far more than we lose.

Need to gte the strikers organised as well, Burton won the ball in the air a n umber of time but nobody around to pick it up. Lee Tuck seemed to be playing fairly deep whilst Wally wss stuck out on the wing Hanson style. I'd play wally down the middle and have Tuck and Burton feeding off him both are far more dangerous if allowed to expres themselves. That said we should have won , we did everything but score.

Have to agree with otleybard, the overall quality of football from Guiseley was by far the best so far this season.I think the player I would pick out as being the most influential last night would be Chris Holland. he had a great game.Well done also to Steve Burton who worked hard and came through the whole 90 minutes.
