That is a very serious injury and we all wish him well on recovery - sounds like there will be some operations to face too. Do you guys have insurance for this sort of thing? Just wondering how this will affect his day job, whatever he does outside of football. All the best to him and hope he is able to keep his chin up at a tough time.

sounds like there will be some operations to face too. No just his knee... hope he is able to keep his chin up ... his chin is fine (no need for a goatee there) It sounds like a horror injury. Best wishes to Lloydy for his recovery. And it's good of Spider to take the long journey back up to see him.

Been away all weekend and only just (at 7pm on Sunday) heard the really dreadful news about Lloydy. Just hope he can make a full recovery, and that he doesn't suffer any long term implications as a result of this. Not been the best of weeks for us at Nethermoor at all...

Told a retired GP (well, my mum) about this today and she wasn't optimistic. I guess you have to bear in mind that a single knee ligament (typically the anterior cruciate in the case of Alan Shearer, Roy Keane etc) is a 6-9 month injury with the most expensive medical care. If we are talking about three ligaments then there this poor bloke has a lot of patient recovery to start out on because there will be great instability in this joint for a long time to come.

Kendal's reporter in the Non League Sunday paper gave the man of the match to their No 3 to add insult to injury. He also said that their goalkeeper got an injury but poor old Lloydy never got a mention. And also no mention in this report of Kendal 'keeper being put out for 6 weeks due to the over aggressive challenge on him - and the subsequest result that you only scored when a Kendal defender had to take over as keeper. www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/4740417.Lloyd_injury_adds_to_Lions_woe/Glass houses and all that.............. Anyway - good luck to both injured players and hope they are both back playing at the earliest opportunity.

Doodleo1,our players career is in the balance and you come on our forum moaning about your keeper could be out for bloody 6 weeks. And whats this c**p you can only score when a defender takes over in goals, aggressive challenges? You have only to look at the fair play league to see who the dirty teams are. What a total idiot!

Doodleo1, I think you'll find that your keeper was injured when he dived at the feet at one of our players and then the injury was made worse by your own management's decision not to sub him for another 10 minutes when he clearly couldn't play on.
Thanks for the update Spider, wish Lloydy all the best for a speedy recovery from all the Guiseley faithful.

I bet Lloydy would be ecstatic if he could play again in 6 weeks. I hope he managed to get back over to Wakefield yesterday to be nearer to his family and friends and that everything goes well for him in the weeks ahead, unfortunately it sounds as though it will be a long haul.

Have already posted my best wishes for Anthony and I hope he makes a full recovery. Always horrible to see a player stretchered off, for whichever side !!
Full expressions of good luck to the lad from all at Kendal Town FC.
