Russ sounded so excited in his interview! He just kept talking faster and faster! Put a smile on my face this morning and makes me hopeful that we’re getting back to normal with people who want to be here.

14 is not really good enough for me, I’m hoping for 10th but as you said it’s going to be an exciting preseason and next season has to be good given the amount of skill and experience we have in management positions. The difference between 10th and 14th this season in the VNLN was just 6 points, and ultimately I don’t think it matters too much where you finish in the mid-table mix up, as long as we avoid a relegation scrap... I’ve had enough of them! Personally I see the new management team and the way the club have set their stall out already (going back to part time and stating this is a season of consolidation and cutting our cloth accordingly to build again slowly) as a reason not to panic if this coming season isn’t overly successful, in the hope that there are signs of encouragement for the seasons after. As long as we’re not in a relegation battle I’ll be content. And if we’re putting out a side that’s learning, and improving over the course of 42 games, playing decent football and showing commitment, I’ll be happy with mid table. Another run in the FA Cup or a rare run in FA Trophy would be a welcome bonus though. The way that Russ O’Neill has developed players in the past (Aiden Flint as one example), and Marcus Bignot has helped develop Solihull Moors both on - and just as importantly - off the pitch, gives me the confidence to see next season as the start of a journey, putting together the first pieces of a jigsaw of players who actually want to play for the shirt, and want to develop themselves as footballers, that in turn help us progress as a club. Of course, if we’re sat rock bottom at Christmas, 25 points off safety, I’ll be the first to say this isn’t working out, but right now I’m feeling optimistic about things in the longer term, and I’m excited to see how the squad changes and how the club moves forward in the next couple of years. COYL! 10th was just because a top 10 run in is always fancied by clubs in our position

I listened to the interviews last night and thought all sounded like Guiseley people.
People who are prepared to fight for the shirt, prepared to muck in when it is needed and prepared to go that extra mile to make us a success.
Really good interviews by Chris and Tom! AB

Just listened and read Marcus Bignots interviews impressed on his views on the club and the type of players he wants. Pretty much the same as the fans want approachable and will fight for the shirt. Hopefully no more journeyman and non-tryers we’ve seen enough of them last season all be it under a difficult management team. I think or hope the new management team will continue the good work Sean started putting in some performances that made the fans want to come back and watch a team proud to Wear the Guiseley shirt. Once again good luck to the new management team let’s start the season with a smile and finish the season with the same smile. Onwards and upwards.

“To the Guiseley fans you are going to get a management team and a group of players who care, who will be approachable and you will be proud of us all, together nothing is impossible.” An interview with Marcus Bignot is now on the website: guiseleyafc.co.uk/meet-marcus-bignot/ AB

There isn’t a nonsense goal that’s too far out. It’s simple and something I can believe in. Come on boys!
