I heard the announcement of Leeds at home and celebrated. Turns out it’s on a Thursday night. Why? I’ll be there but I enjoy making a day out of it with the neighbours who are Leeds season ticket holders. Won’t be able to do that this year.

I don’t know, but I imagine Leeds tell us when they’re coming rather than the other way around. I agree it’s definitely more fun when it’s a Saturday though, and I’d have thought the Club would have asked for a Saturday. Ah well.

Yeah we won’t have much say in this. There’ll be an arrangement in place to have an annual friendly, probably via Steve Parkin, but Leeds aren’t going to reschedule their plans around us. We’ve done the same against Glue League and lower opposition. It’s just how it works.

You only have to look at the situation a couple of years ago when we played Leeds on Friday night then they travelled to Peterborough the day after for another friendly.
We ended up at BPA too! AB

What's the betting that Leeds will have appointed and sacked another manager before we play them?

We will travel to Yorkshire Amateur on Saturday 14th July with kick-off at 3pm. AB

Before it takes hold, the opposition are actually 'Yorkshire Amateur', without a final 's'.
It's not a recent economy measure, they've always been called that.
