Lioncub, the reduction for seniors is only £30 on last season. As in previous years we will be away for at least 6 weeks of the football season, and this we considered when deciding after the debacle of last year whether or not we really wanted the club to have our money upfront. Of course we decided to go ahead and sent our cheque and application the first day it was available because this is our football club and we are its supporters, but then to find out that pre season friendlies are not included leaves a bit of a sour taste. Not a good way to wipe the slate clean and go again. Hi Mrs Ann you are absolutely right my apologies and that makes it even worse! The wording on the terms and conditions was “ Season tickets are valid for all First teams home league games. Season tickets are not valid for any cup home game or play-off matches”. Not a word about pre season at all.

Yes Lion as it has always been and accepted. Someone needs to have a quick rethink. I personally am not interested in seeing the likes of Leeds United, Bradford City, been there done that, but lots of fans are. I like pre season because it gives us a chance to say hello, welcome back to signed players we know and run our eyes over trialists and try to form a view and opinion on players for the season ahead. Sadly even after past events the club look to be only interested in revenue.

The club only look to be interested in revenue? by slashing season ticket prices across the board, and offering pre season game entry for just £5.00 for adults, and £2.50 for concessions for those who've bought a season ticket? 4 games for £10/£20 is incredible value!

Hi Chris you obviously get your information from a different source to me. I couldn't find anywhere on the club website anything that said entry would be half price for season ticket holders. Regardless an amendment of this sort should have been added and clearly indicated on the season ticket application form.

The point is in recent seasons pre season friendies have been included in the season ticket. If the club felt the need to charge for these games this year that's fine, I don't have an issue with that. But it should have been made clear on the application form that these games were not included, and it wasn't.

Playing devils advocate, it would appear to me that this is a genuine oversight on the clubs part, rather than anything cynical. Overall for me, it’s still a massive saving, however, I seem to remember from the last few seasons that the free entry to pre season friendlies was marketed as part of buying a ST. I think the half price entry to the matches is a decent compromise personally. I can’t wait for it to start ............ Keep the Faith KGW

Can I suggest the club cancel all season tickets, and relaunch them at £190 but with free pre season games. That way, they can make an extra £20 on the side. As it is it'll be £150 for 21 league games, and just £20 for 4 pre season friendlies for an ST holder. It's not as if the season ticket prices were reduced by nearly £100 or anything. Also, a season ticket holder also get free entry into any Guiseley Vixens matches too? So for £150 you get 21 mens games in the National North, plus 11 Guiseley Vixens matches, works out at £4.68 per match. It's very rare across the football league/national league, that a club includes pre season friendlies into their season ticket price, so to offer half price entry is still significantly better than numerous other clubs. The Vixens only end up playing an handful of games at Nethermoor. They've ended up playing at St Mary's, Woodhouse Grove, Bradford Academy and County HQ. Think they went from about October without having a home game on grass.

AB - are you able to confirm whether the preseason games are included in the Season Ticket. I can’t remember having to ever pay for preseason games previously but am told that is the case this year Pre-season friendlies are not included in the price of a season ticket. Season ticket holders will however get into all friendlies for half price with the prices and ticketing information to be confirmed. AB Thanks AB Disappointing if honest Guess I will pick up my season ticket 1st game proper

This all seems a little over the top... Suffice it to say that the subject's airing on the Forum has ensured that all parties concerned will have learned something.

Still seems good value even if friendlies are half price. More worried about lack of information about the squad ie who is staying or going. Come on Adie give us some news!!!

Initially great news re heavily reduced season ticket prices. Evetually disappointing news re need to pay for pre season friendlies. I've been a season ticket holder for more years than I can remember. This will be the first season where I feel I need to think carefully about whether I attend or not. Bit of an own goal I reckon. Clear lines of communication to fans at any level of football is critical. I just don't think we ever get this bit right at Guiseley.
More importantly,
Will we have enough players to field a team ?
More news/reassurance/openness would be appreciated

The source of information regarding half price entry came from AB earlier in this thread, so everyone’s source is the same!

Great if AB says it then it must be true, but an official statement on the club's website would be better,or is AB our man on the inside and nominated to give us news.

We have replied to people asking the question on Twitter with this information while pre-season ticket details are confirmed.
A post will be going on the website shortly to confirm this information and ticketing information for the friendlies.
However the details for the Leeds game are still TBC.
