Match report: Guisleley v Ilkeston Town
The weather was quite nice until it started getting cold.
I enjoyed my half time cup of tea.
I had another cup of tea when I got home.

What was so bad? If things were that bad I don't think the manager will give the team another Thursday off! Regardless of the performance it is still 3 points we should be expected to get against a struggling side.

What exactly do you mean? That the performance wasn't all that bad, or that we lost but still, somehow, get three points just because we ought to have won? Not being cute, I'm just not sure what you mean....

It was poor today - a bit like watching Ossett Town! We were missing a speedy second striker - a bit like Gavin Knight......I think you should kiss and make up boys for the benefit of the club! R

I was asking 'What was so bad?' as I wasn't there and saying that Guiseley should be expected to get 3 points against a team on a downward spiral! I said the players won't get another Thursday off as there was an article in the T&A saying they could take their other halves out instead of training but they appear to have shot themselves in the foot if they played so badly.
HAs that cleared things up?

This was our worst performence I have seen this season. The defence looked very weak - is it a sign of how we miss Danny? James upfront had little or no support. Ilkeston wanted it more and although their manager was foul mouthed and they wasted time they dug out a result. Could make Tuesday evening an intestesting discussion.

I understand what you mean now, Bluner, thank you. Really, it was dire today. You were probably better off wherever you were instead...

Could make Tuesday evening an intestesting discussion. And Ilkeston v Eastwood on Wednesday an interesting game. It'll probably finish at breakfast time on Thursday with both managers in prison, three players in hospital, five sent off and the rest lying around the pitch groaning. Wonder who's got the TV rights?

I made a rare appearance at the match. I'm jealous of Bluner.
By the way, I'd like to play up front.

Richard, Osset Town by all account's was like watching Guiseley, report's I've had tell me although they lost Jacko, Craig & Sam( who incidently was given the captain's armband)had good games, the team hitting the woodwork 5 times but could not score aka Guiseley.

Not aka Guiseley as sounds like your lot actually created some scoring chances & nearly took them. On another day & all that. Sat's performance for, quite simply, dire & should be very repeated. We can not start with James up front only supported by Wilford as he'll end up running himself into the ground game after game. Yes we had a couple of players out through injury/suspension, but surely the rest can do better than that. I mean Wilford's best position is a striker .... as some tv character's catchphrase .... are you having a laugh ? A couple of times he tried closing down a defender, who got past me so he gave up running. No wonder he didn't reappear for the 2nd half, woeful! I'm sure Tuesday night's meeting will be interesting, can we have a brief synopsis of the discussions (for those of us who can't make it .... working other side of Pennines Tuesday ) Rallyman

You noticed my tongue in my cheek scout As far as the exiles that are in the ossett squad the one i would have back is Craig Hall - we are missing his best years now - i thought Kitty was a fan too - obviously not!
