I've seen Skiba play a couple of times and kicking hasn't been his strongest asset. It certainly isn't as good as Dicko's. As for guiseley999 stop kissing the new managers bottom!! The standard of the reserve league is poor and the players will not really gain anything from playing in it....they should go on loan to another first team to keep their sharpness IMO!

blumer But Dicko has weaknesses as well but apparently that does not matter. Competition is the name of the game or should be and it will always be a balancing act as to who is felt to be fittest, best or in good form. There are differing opinions about Skiba's performance on Sat. but most appear to be positive about him. I am sure the jury will remain out on him until something finally gives one way or the other. The issue of bottom kissing is an interesting hobby for some but others simply talk.
The quality of reserve football and teams is generally good and all new players coming in support that saying far more and quicker football is played. The downside is not enough matches are played but our ground will not take more and along with other practical problems. Sending young players out on loan is I understand considered with players but again is a balancing act as some can return no better or even worse for the experience. I feel pretty sure, from talking to people in the know, that reserve football generally and at GAFC in particular, will greatly improve over the next two to three seasons.
