Half way through the first half and its 0 - 0. Even game with few chances. Team - Skiba, Hay, Sturdy, Cotterill, Camfield, Dunning, Gomez, Bett, Noble, Hanson and Tuck.

Entertaining first half in blustery conditions. We had an excellent 20 minute spell where the midfield dominated and we passed the ball very well. However, we failed to create any clear cut chances and it was Marine who came closest to scoring just before half time but Skiba smothered the chance well. Gomez has been lively down the right and Noble effective in the middle. Tuck, making his debut from Farsley has had a couple of shots but otherwise struggled to make an impression. Kittrick has Wilford, Agus and Swift on the bench.

An hour played and its still goalless. Scrappy second half - no clear cut chances to either side.

90 mins - neat through ball by Agus to Tuck who slid it past the Marine keeper for 2 - 0. Overall this has been an excellent performance.

This was an excellent performance against decent opposition. What was most pleasing was the way we passed the ball so well for extended periods of the game in both halves, created some good chances, particularly in the second half, and limited Marine to only a couple of decent goalscoring opportunities. The back four were very solid, Sturdy was immense and Camfield had a good game at left back. Skiba was a bit erratic but kept a clean sheet which is what matters most. Up front, Hanson worked tirelessly and formed a good partnership with Tuck who looks to be the nippy striker to play with the big centre forward we have been missing since the departure of Knight. He came into the game well in the second half and took his goal neatly in the 90th minute. In midfield, Dunning had his best game for a while and with Noble ensured we enjoyed the bulk of posession throughout. Bett ran his socks off down the left and took his goal very well. Down the right, our Spanish acquisition was superb, gave the Marine defence a torrid time for the whole game and looks to be a tremendous player.
So, a great win and a great performance - very well done to the players and management. If we can reproduce this performance regularly between now and the end of the season we will definitely make the play offs.
