After the lord mayors parade i am afraid. The players failed to get off the coach today and didn't look at all comfortable, listless and tired. Ashton had plenty of opportunity but only forced one meaningful save out of SKiba in the first half, showing their total lack of quality. Guiseley just didn't play well hardly stringing two passes together - when they did the final ball wasn't good enough. A reality check, if we want to get out of this league we must put these poor sides away instead of turning up expecting to win. A side note was the worst refereeing i have seen for ages - and yes we have seen some rubbish - Sturdy got booked for a nothing challenge in the first half - he then failed to book any Ashton player for offenses 10 times worse - what a homer! no consistency and total bias.

Agree pretty much with everything Richard said including comment about ref who gave us nothing all game but in fairness we didnt do enough offensively to win the game.Abit of credit has to go to Ashton who worked very hard and made life difficult for us ,the majority of the time getting plenty of men behind the ball when we were attacking they also had the better of the chances with in my opinion Piotr making 3 good saves the one in the 1st half was absolutely top class. No excuses werent on top of our game today,we now have to try and win our next 2 home games against Frickley and Buxton, wont be easy but we are more than capable as we are in decent nick.If im right then our form over the last 8 league games reads;Pl 8 W6 L1 D1 F16 A3 19 points from a possible 24 we need to keep pushing on with a busy month ahead.

if you thought the referee was bad you should have seen the clown we had last week against ossett, made today's look like a pro!
I thought richard's comments were a bit harsh on us, yes skiba only made one top drawer save and yes we should have done better with some of our openings but your keeper was beaten all ends up in the last minute and only the bar (for the third time) saved you. in our defence we had to play three loan players in the back five (two teenagers at that), were missing our captain, our top scorer and also our player of the season (probably) from centre-mid. then we lost our centre-half with a serious injury and, with no ready-made replacement on the bench, had to play our liveliest forward at centre-half for the rest of the game.
I hope if richard's gone drinking in leeds or wherever tonight that nobody clobbers him with a 'nothing challenge' like what went on out there today - and yes, Ashton players were booked too.
look forward to playing you again next season as I think we're too good to go down and you're not good enough to go up on today's showing - we are a much better outfit than Ossett despite our league placing
... as for the ref that gave you nowt; he tried giving you a penalty for a tackle outside the box; only the linesman sanity prevailed on that one. We didn't think too much of him either

Thanks, Wayne, for giving us your view of today. I wasn't there but I get the gist of how things went and it's probably just one to put behind us now, but at least we got a point so it's not all bad.
Incidentally, no-one's said anything about the pies and pasties at the match today, so if anyone has anything to report I'd be delighted, as ever, to hear it...

The penalty that wasnt Robin was a farce.Firstly we were too far away to say if it was a penalty, the ref gave the penalty only to consult the linesman who hadnt even flagged for an infringement and was stood 10 yards away,if the refs not sure why not consult the linesman before pointing to the spot.As weve all said the ref had a shocker

We didn't think too much of him either Sorry Robin it was a nothing challenge compared to the elbow in the face Sturdy got in the first few minutes that the ref missed.....And no i don't drink in Leeds any more - far to old for that! So why wast the defender booked for the non penalty foul - a lunge taking the player down from behind no where near the ball....thought that was an automatic card? the ref gave the penalty, then was persuaded to talk to the liner - mmmm R

How did our little tucky do
Got to say the match report on your website is amusing with a picyure of a load of pensioners captioned "The usual suspects watch the action"
A better one would be "the naughty boys from the local old peoples home serve there punishment"
