For the benefit of anyone not at chilly Nethermoor tonight, the team is Skiba, Hay, Noble, Cotterill, Sturdy, Fernandez, Dunning, Pugh, Bett, Hanson, Tuck. Subs are Wilford, Ellis and Camfield

Half time 0-0 Very tight game with few half chances and neither keeper having made a save of note. We have had the lion's share of posession but the end product has been lacking. Need to improve second half if we are going to overcome a good Frickley side.

It was a bit untidy. We looked dangerous first half, but got sucked into a niggly scrap for most of the second. Man of the match for me was possibly James Cotterill.

Usual game, I'm afraid - tidy, skilful but no end product.

Not quite sure how they got that - I thought Tucky looked a more potent threat for a large part of the game.

I'll probably get slaughtered for this from various quarters, but I thought that notwithstanding the goal, Aron Wilford's introduction improved our attack considerably.

Agree with you OB. Thats not to say that Tuck didn't do a job but cant expect him at his size to win in the air and too many oponents now know about James and this decreases his effectiveness. While im in full flow can we please practice taking and winning corners?

Thought we played ok except in the attacking third where we simply didn't produce enough end product to win the game. Frickley defended well and were effective on the break but we didn't show enough invention to unlock their defence until we got lucky at the death - a draw was, in my view, a fair result. Agree that Wilford had a positive impact when he came on.
I reckon we need to win six of our remaining 11 games to make the play offs - that plus one draw would give us 70 points which I am sure will be enough. Buxton and Marine both lost last night and with our games in hand we should be capable of finishing above both. Buxton have 12 games left, 8 are against teams in the top 7 including Fleetwood, Eastwood and Gateshead twice each, as well as us and Marine. Saturday's game is huge - we really need to beat Buxton and win our other remaining home games to ensure we make the playoffs. The league is very tight - Matlock are tenth but only six points above the relegation places, and with the top seven fighting for the play offs, there are only three teams that don't look to be involved in either battle - and even they could be involved in one or the other with a string of good or bad results. So virtually every game is tough as it really matters to both teams - should make for an interesting finish to the season - and may mean that 67/68 points is enough to make the play offs.
