Can somebody please confirm the reserves are playing at Harrogate tonight. It is a long way to go if no game. Last year the website advertised Harrogate Town Away when we got to Wetherby Road we found out the game was acctually at Nethermoor so i am sure you can understand me checking, I am aware its Railway not Town we are supposed to be playing.

We were actually awful in the first-half but as in most games Vinnie's pre-season fitness regime stood the lads in good stead and they came good in the second-half but should still have won by a much wider margin. If you want to wind Vinnie up make the wrong choice of boots and slip and slide about all night! We looked like Bambi on ice for much of the time! Harrogate took the lead heading in from a corner after Guiseley had had most of the early play. Adam Hill hit the bar with his effort before Dan Husband loped off upfield and just kept running as the gaps opened up and he provided a good finish to level after 34 minutes. Dan then had to hang his head in shame after teeing up the Railway striker with a perfect goal after hitting a pass across defence and not seeing the Railway man - must have been his green shorts that blended in with the grass! Guiseley certainly made hard work of things and tended to prefer to play the ball backwards and provide little support when pushing forward. Railway extended their lead to 3-1 by the break. In the second-half two strikes from Joe Hendrie levelled things at 3-3 but Joe was frustrated to be on the end of another booking when he competed for a 50/50 ball and his strength won it for him. Another undeserved booking for a lad who seems to unfairly attract them. Guiseley were denied a penalty when Liam Robinson was fouled twice in the same challenge but the referee waved their appeals away. A host of chances were squandered before Chris Davey sealed the win battling as ever to the end of the 90 minutes. Pontefract Collieries at home on Saturday is the next challenge for this team which has lost just once this season.
Team: Dean Henderson; Callum White, Dan Husband, Tom Higman, John Cullen; Adam Hill, Joe Hendrie, John Douglas, Chris Davey; Luke Hudson, Liam Robinson (Rob Bradley). Subs not used: Mark Wilby, Ben Reynolds, Sam Jacomb.
Had a call out of the blue today from former Reserve team manager Brett Ferriday who is now living in France. He hopes to visit for the next round of the FA Cup when the first team play Sheffield.

The Reserves had to restructure their squad for Saturday's home game with Pontefract Collieries with two goalkeepers unavailable and Tom Higman getting a call to the first team squad and other players unavailable. Veteran 'keeper Steve Thompson answered a call to return to Nethermoor after many seasons away with Horsforth St Margaret's and Pool AFC. Steve had a great game and the side showed their fitness to overrun their opponents in the second-half and win 5-0. Goals came from Liam Robinson, John Douglas (with a rare header!), substitutes Mark Wilby and Josh Philpott and finally Chris Davey. The side was re-shuffled with striker Luke Hudson at right-back, young Sam Jacomb coming in at centre-back and three more of Simon's U-18 side included on the bench for the first time in Josh Philpott, Adam Jackson and Stuart Mullins. Vinnie's pre-season fitness regime is certainly paying dividends with the Reserves able to hit back strongly in the second-half of games. The Reserves travel to Farsley Celtic on Tuesday night for
Team: Steve Thompson; Luke Hudson, Dan Husband (C), Sam Jacomb, John Cullen; Adam Hill (Josh Philpott), Joe Hendrie, John Douglas, Chris Davey; Rob Bradley (Mark Wilby), Liam Robinson (Matt Veazey) Subs not used: Adam Jackson, Stuart Mullins.
