guyseley Wrong again! Promoting from within on the basis that its 'better the devil you do know that the ones you don't'.

Hmmmm....well, sources closer to the Club than me have suggested that TD had lost the dressing room (we've certainly played like that recently), in which case the decision is understandable and probably correct. However, I don't see a cause for much celebration as I fear this may effectively end our prospects of either winning something or getting promoted this season. Few successful teams change their manager mid campaign. If no quality replacement is lined up quickly, there will be a period of uncertainty and instability and then a new manager will need time to reshape the team, assuming any quality players can be brought in at this stage of the season, which is by no means certain.
Following the dismissal of Neil Parsley, we won 2, drew 2 and lost 6 of our next 10 matches while TD was appointed and sorted things out. That run of results cost us a play off place last season.
I hope my pessimism proves to be unfounded come next April. Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see how Mark Ellis lines the team up tomorrow against Worcester City. I expect us to struggle without Krief in midfield.

Unless/until we've replaced TD with somebody more likely to get us promoted this season, think I'll sit out the party.

Guiseley did very very well under Dolan results-wise which is the main thing at this level of football. Lost the dressing room???!! Surely not Player-Power coming into it!
Think the directors are a little clueless when it comes to the running of a football team!

Is that what's known as 'ruling yourself out of the race'?

As a former resident of Hull the only surprise is that he left the club as high up the league as he did! He's slowly failed his way down the divisions and wondered why the pro game wouldn't touch him. A quality programme note at Hull said he'd been trying to play long ball but it wasn't working because we had the smallest side in the league. Summed his abilities up.
Looking forward to my first match in a year this aft.
