To whichever bright spark at the club booked Stevie Wonder to do the morning pitch inspection Whom ever is responsible for this utter fiasco? Absolutely disgraceful. 3.40pm and the home page still says match on!

BIT ANNOYING ! I cut work short and travelled almost 30 miles , when all it needed was a club official to get a early inspection to save people travelling . No information comes out of the club these days from u 19s through to first team , then they wonder why gates are low . C'mon Guiseley DON'T LOSE the cash paying fans , sort out your P.R and maybe you will reap the rewards. PTF

Local ref who did the early inspection liaised with the match referee who subsequently called it off at 1:55 pm so it wasn't going to stop anybody travelling unless you live in Guiseley was it?

What, then, was the point of the early inspection Bigj? I got all my information off the KH website, which was right up to date with the previous night's and the early morning inspections. Our website was still advertising the match throughout Saturday!! Local Radio gets a surge of listeners during bad weather and snow storms. Likewise, when matches are in doubt, no doubt football websites get many more hits. PR opportunity lost??

From Last Monday we have had freezing temperatures, with no chance of a thaw but for some reason the game was not called off untill 2pm . The logic of this escapes everybody on this forum other than bigj !------- Why does that not suprise me.

Is there any realistic hope of this match being played on Tuesday?

Course he's correct common sense says there was no chance of playing yesterday but until a referee calls it off the club chas to go with the official line. Caveat was on the website yesterday so enuff said.

The fiasco of Saturday all bounces back at the League doesn't it and also common sense. Although a local inspection is done early the league should insist the referee arrives at the ground by midday for pitch inspection and then make a decision, still not brilliant for travelling fans from a distance but better than nothing.

Anybody with any sense would find out the very latest time the opposition can set off to the match (more so if coming from a long distance away). Arrange an inspection for 15 minutes prior to this time and if the pitch is unplayalbe then call the match off!! Never mind trying to predict the weather forecast for 3pm.
