As ever, of course, he gives himself far too much credit:

Sounds like the kit man better get some more shirts ordered. Cox is coming out with excuses again uneven pitch like it would bother him. Hope the chairman at Kettering is ready with the cheque book.

A few clubs have started announcing new signings for next season in the last few days with the busiest being Blyth Spartans so far!
They seem to have strengthened a lot since the last couple of years where they have really struggled in the division.
They have signed:
JJ O'Donnell, Dan Maguire, Nathan Buddle, Jordan Watson, Michael Liddle, Josh Gillies, Lewic McNall, Karl Byrne, Sean Reid and Jordan Hickey.
Meanwhile Gateshead moved quickly to snap up Adam Campbell following his release from Darlington.

Ain't gonna walk away but actually seems to be talking himself and Bernard out of a job. Wonder if the Board will make the decision for them, or is it a case of back us or sack us?

Him and Bernard will get payout if dismissed and presumably they’re both on quite a nice contract. Similar situation to us and the Cox Brigade. You could imagine Chester incurring significant losses through Covid. You can imagine the Board hoping that it will sort itself out… |

I like him and I bet being so ill with covid has left him a little short of that extra bit of energy you need to not just let your feelings out. It was a tough watch and he seemed to be expecting the sack but I wouldn’t mind seeing what happens next if they don’t leave. Some interesting fans over that way, so plenty of ingredients for a good meltdown if things carry on as they are.
