Fantastic initiative, well done to all concerned. Let’s get plugging the offer locally and hopefully pick up new support

The option for a free season ticket for Juniors that play for local teams isn't on the form any more - Is that offer not available this year?

Agree with lioncub here the reduction for concessions is a third of that of adult prices and even paying on the gate a half. Also don't they play less games in NLN. This makes the reduction compared to last season less. I suppose they are targeting younger supporters and think not many pensioners will suddenly start to follow the club but not much of a reward for those who have followed the club for many many years. But having said that I do hope it does attract more people to nethermoor it was awful to see the attendances dwindle towards the end of last season. I'm not certain they're targeting youngsters with this announcement - many of them were getting in free before and now have to pay? I think they've gone squarely for the main part of the fanbase and potential fanbase, adults who pay the standard price, and have tried to stop them from drifting away by making a big statement with reduced pricing. I don't know what the usual concession discount is at other clubs so I'm not disagreeing with you - but I do know that my friends have stopped coming to watch Guiseley in the last two years because it's just too expensive, so I understand why they've chosen to make the biggest cuts to the costs of standard tickets.

As an example BPA charge £135 for adults and £110 for over 60’s ( not 66+).
It’s ok going for the largest and main fan base of adults at GAFC but does penalises the over 65s many of whom have followed the club for decades. There is only a £20 difference in season ticket price between adult and senior this season compared to £80 last season.

I don’t know if I agree that concessions are being penalised as those prices have gone down too. But I obviously see how a smaller price cut can feel like missing out. Looks like our tiers are more similar to BPA’s now than they were before - is that typical of NLN clubs? It’s a long time since I paid student prices anywhere so I have no idea.

I’m sure that if anyone does feel as though they’ve missed out on the bigger discounts I’m sure it’s unintentional. Let’s do what we can collectively to support the initiative, and hopefully move the club forward on and off the pitch which will make us a more viable proposition on our eventual return to the conference. I for one am happy with the decision to reduce the prices. When we played 3 Home games on the spin at the end of the season it was an expensive time especially with kids in tow. I can confirm I’m converted and will get a season ticket inc one for the kids.
On the junior arrangement I think paying £10 for the season is nothing when you compare it to other activities. One issue which I would like to mention is that it wasn’t only kids that got in for a good deal last year. If you were a coach for the juniors you got automatic entry to a game but this was open to abuse. I regularly stood next to friends who paid not £1 all season whereas 20 games at £15 was in my eyes unjust. I always believe in repaying volunteers for their help and assistance but a nominal sum with protection around who’s getting the deal should have been in place!!

A great idea by the club to reduce the price of season tickets by such a big amount.
Hopefully this will attract plenty of fans to Nethermoor next season to boost the crowds and get the good feeling back after a hard slog last time out.
Come on you Lions! AB

Yes indeed, a brave move to ensure that at least one Income Stream is dug wider than it is deep.

Well for me, this is a great deal & the right step forward for the club trying to attract/retain their fanbase. Already paid my £150. Not been a season ticket holder for a few years due to work commitments & wifey booking holidays in season as well as price certainly for last year. Rallyman

Great move by the club, my only concern would be if the reports of £13 matchday tickets are correct. Although we'll hopefully get a lot more season ticket holders, are we going to miss out on the occasional fans or the Leeds and Bradford fans that might consider heading down when their respective team is away from home?

Our cheque for renewal is already in the post. One aspect of being a season ticket holder that I really like is choice of reserved seat in stand if you so wish. Quite a picnic at half time takes place in some areas including the sauce!!

Andrew I think there have been a couple of contacts on Twitter from fans of local league clubs asking if a deal could be put in place. Makes sense to me - say any Leeds, Bradford or Huddersfield season ticket holders are treated as concessions?

Andrew Matchday prices for next season are: £13 adults £9 concessions £5 U18's £1 U11's The club are however looking at ideas to attract more fans who may not want or be able to commit to a season ticket.
