As always CDP gives excellent coverage.First 30 mins we were fantastic, but got sloppy towards the end of the 1st half.Second half was more even with both sides creating chances, yes Ferriby hit the post 3 times and put us under pressure but we had several chances to put the game out of reach but were a little wasteful and their keeper made 2 unbelievable saves late on.Their skipper was sent off cos hed been given the run around by Adam Muller all night and they (I really must look this word up) did try to bully us but that didnt work. All in all a big improvement from Saturday whilst in possesion, but still not happy with the amount of chances we let Ferriby have, rest assured we will address that but it will come the more these players play together.

As Wayne says Adam gave them the runaround but it was obvious from the start and the number of tackles he withstood every time he was on the ball just what the Ferriby tactics were. But and a fantastic but, guiseley were more than capable of holding there own, not something we have been able to say in the past. Some lovely football more please.

I thought we were excellent in patches last night but in other periods looked quite vulnerable at the back - Ferriby created plenty of chances and with better finishing might have got something out of the game (which they didn't deserve). The three centre backs and two wingbacks formation mostly seemed to work well, particularly as Lloyd and Merris got forward regularly, especially Lloyd who scored two and could have had four. 5-3-2 can work if you have the right players - which we now seem to have. Will we use that formation at home I wonder? Burton was impressive in midfield, along with Crooks until he got a knock in the second half and had to be replaced. I was particularly impressed with Muller who was a real handful for the Ferriby defence, led the line superbly and looks to be a fantastic signing for Guiseley.
All in all, a decent performance, but, as Wayne has pointed out, some areas for improvement.

wayne i didnt realise that a player could be sent off just because his opponent gives him the run around does that mean all your players could be sent off when we play you lol

I think Wayne and CDP have been very diplomatic in the way they describe some of North Ferriby's tackles. Whilst they did indeed put us under pressure at times, their defence would appear to work on the theory that if you kick a player enough he will eventually stay down. and not just Adam received this treatment To those who did not attend, NFU did hit the crossbar twice and the upright once, but equally their keeper kept them in the game with some outstanding saves.
