Looking good for the play offs - by my calculations we just need to win our last 2 by a total of 12 clear goals, hope Ashton lose on Saturday and Worksop don’t win their last one after we beat them tonight.

Well there were 6 goals in the game to half the deficit we needed but sadly 4 in our net!!
Not at the races and they were up for it from the start. Not a fan of all the theatrics of trying to get players sent off. They’re bench jumping up and down at every opportunity.
Soundly beaten but the referee was poor.
We have the worst home record of all the teams in the division other than the teams relegated and Fc United. You’re never going to get a promotion or playoffs with that record. Nethermoor has to become a fortress next season to change our chances.

Disappointing result (yet again) at home. As Rawdon 🦁 said, we need to better next season Worksop were BIG and hungrier for the first 20mins but for the rest of the first half, i thought we were better team, played some pretty football, created chances but didn’t convert. An all too familiar story when playing at home. Second half, once we conceded, we looked to drop tools bar for the final 10mins when two excellent finishes. In terms of the match, thought Kallian was excellent, yet Bensheriff was better still. His on-the-edge fouls were very good and he marshalled his troops well. How we miss him. They were just more clinical with their chances As for Guiseley, moving AW on hasn’t worked, performances and results have been no better. I just hope for a new manager announcement ASAP and we can move on. Will need a full re-build me thinks which is disappointing when we think back to early March.

Beaten tonight by a physically stronger team who had more to play for and were more adept at keeping their aggressive tactics just within bounds.
None of us are in any doubt as to what an extremely hard league this is to get out of and what it needs,we have in the past tried and ludicrous amounts of money was frittered in what turned out to be basically one man's vanity project, and honestly can any of us say we enjoyed that experience.
I don't think it makes us unambitious when we say we'd rather see attractive, entertaining football from a team who enjoy playing for each other and us in an atmosphere that's unthreatening and relaxed rather than strive for promotion at any cost.

Disappointing end to our home game season. Back to square one- new management and building a new team for 24/25. I want us to have ambition and get out of this league and back to National League North. That means investing in the right players and a manager with belief and vision who can bring together the team and the supporters. This season held real promise and to then see that slowly ebb away was such a disappointment. The board also need to address the culture which has developed this season and act to ensure we can return to a family friendly club environment. To fail to do so will drive away decent people and their families. Enjoy the summer( if it ever arrives!) Guiseley supporters . Lioncub 🦁

I don't think a full rebuild is needed, but a proper manager and some organizers in key positions definitely are.
Last night resembled nothing more than a functional team with desire and motivation taking apart a talented one with neither. With a bit more determination and organization Guiseley could have got at least a draw, but they gave away silly goals and left themselves too much to do. Once Worksop had eased off in the second half, the Guiseley players showed the nice football they can play, but while it was a contest they were hardly in it.
If they can add a manager who can instill a bit of grit without sacrificing the playing style, and add someone to organize the defence, then I don't think they'll be too far away next year, assuming most of the squad can be kept together.

Same old, same old again last night with the defence letting us down again together with chances missed early on its become an all too familiar tale this season. New manager needs to add some steel to the back line and in midfield and we need a 20-goal as season striker if we are going to make any inmpression next season. I thought the squad was good enough this season but clearly not and whoever comes in will no doubt have their own ideas.

Couldnt make it last night as full of cold & feeling really rough. But sounds like another game that our opponents where more "up-for-it" than we were & duly ran out worthy winner, (& moved into last play-off spot as well).
Need to get a new manager reasonably quick, as some players will move if get an offer & not knowing if they'll be "wanted" by the new man in charge.
20 goals a season players are hard to come by & would they want to sign for us based on recent 3 managers/season scenario ?
Also need to be realists in that both South Shields & Radcliffe had money behind them to win the league, as well as good squads. Maybe top half of NPL is our current status based on budget & hence players we're able to sign.
All-in-all, its not been a bad season for me & better than last. Some good performances & away trips, Ilkeston on Tuesday night springs to mind, but I'm not too downtrodden.
Will probably renew my season ticket again for next season.

A tough night last night up against an opposition who were at it from the off in a bid to secure a play off place. They dominated early play and fully deserved their lead when Redford slotted in from close range. Redford nearly had a second but shot wide from the edge of the box. Hughes had a couple of good chances but couldn’t find the target despite leaping Hughes from two crosses. After about twenty minutes or so we came into the game and Moore played in a great cross but it flashed across the face of goal just needing a touch. Brown forced Chapman into an excellent save when he chested down and volleyed goalwards. The second half started with Chippendale shooting just wide of the mark. But a minute later Rollins led a counter attack and struck the ball past an advancing Battersby Then the game was all but done and dusted when Burrow, who always seems to score against us, was free at the back post and finished well. Ten minutes later Burrow added a second in similar circumstances. With time ticking down Murphy had a shot blocked on the line after he rounded Chapman and the keeper thwarted Ible with a good stop. Then with four minutes left Pratt pulled one back with a calm finish from close range. Chippendale added to the scoresheet with a powerful header from Pratt’s cross. It proved to be the last chance of note in the game as the 23/24 campaign at Nethermoor ended with a defeat. Onto Workington on Saturday. Come on Guiseley! AB

We weren’t competitive really last night but I still want to save a mention for one of the most strange and (on face value) one-sided refereeing displays I’ve seen for a while. If we’d had anything riding on that game I would’ve been fuming.

If we’d had anything riding on that game I would’ve been fuming. Spoke to the Ref after the game. Nice guy, 26yr old, from York. Employed by West Ridding FA to “coach” referees. He gave himself an 8/10 performance rating. Naturally my friend and I nodded whilst trying not to a. Laugh and b. Say “WTAF”. Personally I thought he set the tone early on when Hamza sent Kallian flying after a push in the back (not given) and after that Hamza very much played on the limit (mostly the wrong side). For the 4th goal (admittedly the game was done and dusted), there was a clear foul on the right touch line next to the linesman (not given) and of course they broke and scored. Still it’s nice to meet a confident referee. I’m sure he’ll be fast-tracked…
