Leeds United U21s at home

We’re back on home ground tomorrow for the visit of Leeds United U21s.

Tickets:

Tickets can be purchased on entry to Nethermoor at the turnstiles, cash is accepted at all turnstiles with card payments taken at turnstiles 1 & 2.
If you are collecting your season ticket this will be available at turnstile 3.
Tickets are priced at £10 adults, £5 concessions/U18s and £1 U11s with half price entry for all 24/25 GAFC Season Ticket Holders.

Parking:
The Ings Crescent car park will be reserved for players, staff and officials of both clubs. Free parking is available at the Netherfield Road car park which is just a short walk away from Nethermoor using the footbridge.

Food:
The clubhouse will not be serving food tomorrow due to a cricket match taking place at the same time. Pies, snacks, hot and cold drinks are available from the Sponsors Cabin. Chips, pie, peas, gravy, snacks, hot and cold drinks are all available from the Lions' Diner.

Supporters’ Club Desk:

The SC Desk will be open in the clubhouse tomorrow with memberships on sale and Paul will be taking bookings for first three away games of the season.

Once again it doesn’t say a great deal about how we’ll do in the league, friendlies never really do, but it was a very pleasant watch. Thought we looked pretty solid, caused quite few problems for their defence and were good value for the 1-0 win. Could’ve been more, really.

Another good win today in a hard fought battle with Leeds’ U21s side.
I felt like we deserved the win in this one and had some good chances to increase the margin.
Cracknell saved well low down to his left and Lufudu forced Ombang into a good stop.
Lawlor saw his header blocked before Ekpolo fired wide from the penalty spot after Lufudu’s brilliant run teed up the midfielder.
Kendall found Longbottom in the box but the forward couldn’t get his attempt on target.
Thewlis then scored after his shot took a hefty deflection over the head of Ombang but the goal was ruled out for offside.
Then just before the break we had another opening to break the deadlock but effort was cleared off the line.
The first action of the second half saw Lawlor strike the only goal of the afternoon when a corner found the defender who slotted home from close range.
A myriad of changes in the second half disrupted the flow of the game but Leeds struggled to break through the Lions’ backline.

We move on to Tuesday night’s clash with Barnsley at Nethermoor.
