I was amazed the floodlights were up to grade.
It’s basically a 3G on the side of the 6th form college - like I say, rudimentary!

A worrying performance - we were well beaten by a side that looked fitter, stronger, more determined and had a better game plan than us. We handled their press badly, passed the ball very badly especially in the first half and gave two stupid goals away which effectively handed the game to Stockton who were never put under significant pressure in the game. Some really poor individual performances in my view. Also highlighted the need to get a replacement for the injured Wright in the central striker role - someone to hold the ball up and get others such as Thewlis into the game. Early days and no need to panic yet but I would expect changes for Saturday. Good to see we have signed a central striker - the lack of one has been an obvious shortcoming in the first two matches, especially on Wednesday evening. |
