As testament to our improved defensive displays so far this season, it has taken us just ten matches to keep five clean sheets. For comparison, it took us 21 matches to achieve that last season.

Thought we played ok in the first half yesterday then came to life in the second half. 1874 looked a decent side without really troubling us. Decent performance from a slightly different side than usual. Decent crowd for an FA cup game and was impressed by the visiting supporters. Onwards and upwards.

Good performance. Safe to say that a winning side from a lower league is a tougher opponent than a side from the bottom of Conference North would have been.
It was a very even game until Longbottom scored, then Northwich pushed forward and left a lot of gaps at the back. 3-0 was possibly harsh on Northwich, but Guiseley were definitely the better team.
Also safe to say we missed Farrell up front. We can't keep relying on those free kicks, so we really need the other forwards to be more dangerous from open play.
I liked seeing Jack Emmet and Joe Ackroyd get more game time. There's some really good footballers in this squad and it's great to watch.

If you missed the opening goal here it is: With his prowess at free-kicks from outside the box, it's like watching a young John Rooney.

Great game, tough side considering their league but all round played well. Seeing the 'youth' move into the stand backing onto the clubhouse more often now, very noisy bunch on Saturday - props to them!
