This is an extremely long shot indeed, but does anyone remember the pretty smart looking maroon strip that Guiseley changed to, and used for about two matches before it disappeared for ever and was never seen again? The kit was maroon shirts with white collar and cuffs c/w white collars and cuffs, white shorts and (I think) blue socks. It was clearly intended for further use as it had a proper Guiseley badge embroidered onto it but it disappeared as quickly as it had arrived and no explanantion was given and, apparently, no questions were asked. This would be sometime between about 1966 and 1972. Have I imagined this?...

Maroons were quite unusual in those days; the fashion was for flares.

Has anyone got any pictures of the very short lived kit.

In which two fixtures were they used in? Why did Guiseley even wear it when the traditional colours are white blue and yellow?.
