Heigh-ho. We might have known it’d be you two.
All this aggravation, and the new term’s not even begun properly.
Yes, Willie, we know Adam started it but your reaction was a wee bit over the top, wasn't it? Yes, we know he can be annoying at times, but he’s only little and we should all be trying to help him rather than calling him names, shouldn’t we? Remember, we’re all part of the same class.
And please, no more talk of violence, Willie; you’re a lot bigger than Adam, and we’d hate to get bloodstains on our nice new stand, wouldn’t we?
And Adam, perhaps this’ll show you it’s not really clever to go on irritating the other children, is it, especially when they’ve told you they don’t like it.
Anyway, we’re popping out for a few hours to support the big boys in Ossett. While we’re away, get on with reading your textbooks and keep the noise down. We’ll be back later, and we’ll wipe some of the immature comments off the board so we don’t have to keep looking at them.
I think we’ve all learnt something from this, haven’t we? Willie? Adam?

Dear Admin,
At last!
What is it that you think you have learned?
What you should have learned is what happens when those in charge bury their head in the sand and do absolutey nothing when a situation is building up.
Your reaction is exactly what I had anticipated and what I had intended to provoke.
Sometimes one has to do things which are out of character to achieve an end.
Now you've got the message and brought this to head, which you should have done weeks ago, it's time to get your fingers out and resolve it once and for all.
I realise you'll probably ban me for writing this because that's what people, who don't know how and when to exert their powers effectively, do when they've been criticised. With a couple of head teachers like you two no wonder there's disruption in the class room. You'd both make great politicians.

Dear Admin,
You'd missed a few so, before I go, I've removed them myself just to save you the trouble.
Bye

Willie I think you're the one with the political ambitions and certainly not our two Admins who are far too subtle to be drawn into your mind games. Move over Mandleson!

BigJ, I'm afraid you're more of a Mandleson than I. After all, you're the one who appears to be speaking for those in power. Can't our administrators speak for themselves?

I think one week from the start of the season we all should take a deep breath relax and concentrate on the job in hand and not what adambrid writes in his posts even though lol can become annoying after 6,198 posts

Yeah I'm sick of it too. I used to be an a dial up connection because there is no broadband signal. The cable connection I'm on now can also be very slow at times. So waiting for a page to download only to find a LOL or some other post that is only there to have the final say can be very frustrating. I now don't open threads if Adam has posted last so might be missing other things that I want to read. Unless Adam has some sort of condition like Autism, Tourette's or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, the Admin have been too indulgent of his posts. Ritalin could be prescribed for his condition. It might have some side effects but less than taking a beating from willie. C'mon Adam, people who know you say you're a nice lad but you're heading for an ASBO. I'm even madder with you now Adam as during the time I have probably wasted in writing this post I have burned my tea

I must admit to having laughed heartily at the antics of Willie's back. Britain has gone downhill since we stopped reaching the end of our tether and resorting to hugely pedantic outburts which damage nobody but ourselves. And since we cut back on lunchtime drinking.

To quote Gustave Flaubert, "By dint of rallying against fools, one risks looking foolish" Great minds eh pris? I was going to quote Flaubert, but I didn't think anyone would understand (well, not willie'sback anyway ), seems I have a learned kindred spirit. Maybe I could re-phrase it for the less cerebral? "keep on whining willie, you are just making yourself look more of a pratt!" There's also a cracker from Samuel Johnson, perfect for this occasion; “It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than open one's mouth and remove all doubt.” or this one, from Dale Carnegie; “Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain but it takes character and self control to be understanding and forgiving.”
