Now, unfortunately, I can't be there today so I thought I'd post the words of wisdom that the squad would have "benefited" from had I been there. Saves me asking Steve (Steveleeds23 - not Kittrick ;D ) to scream at them on my behalf. "Oi, IT'S WINDY - keep it on the freekin' deck you muppets!!! No point heading clearances anywhere & everywhere, control the ball and take some time over it. No point in lumping it forward to the front men either - play it through/around/across midfield (it's called "foot"ball after all-FFS)" 2nd ball's gonna be the key - keep possession at all costs - look before you pass and make them ALL count. Whoever masters the wind is gonna win today. It's our home ground so we SHOULD know how to do this here better than the Tigers. (but does it ever appear we have learned that lesson - no, not very often!) Come on you Whites/Lions/Guiseley!!

Have we managed to put any advertising hoardings on the new stand yet? I think it would be a great idea for today!

This is more likely (only without the aggressive Scots).

Come and join us, pris - it's not the sort of afternoon to spend Hyde-ing in a Nest!

Arbroath v Clyde has been postponed today due to high winds - the ref must have thought they'd never get the goal kicks taken! Ah well, I'm going to head off to Nethermoor and look out for flying advertising boards...

We need to cover them over with canvas bags. 'Sack the Board' is quite a popular chant at League grounds.

Come and join us, pris - it's not the sort of afternoon to spend Hyde-ing in a Nest! We did give them a Hyde-ing. 3-0 but the score should have been doubled (a saved penalty and two easy chances wasted). That was the third game this season played in strong wind at the exposed Nest. We seem now to have got the hang of such conditions and surprisingly it was a good game to watch.

Yes but if we hadn't had the 10 point deduction we'd be 10th and with this team we probably could have made a push for the play offs.
