With.
Your birthday on Tuesday? Unlucky to miss out on what should've been a home game.

Would someone kindly explain to me why an attendance of over 400 didn't merit opening the pie hut on the stand side of the ground?
Guiseley missed out on money today by not having food on - loads of people turned away in the bar because there was nowt left. I was happy with a hot dog but many weren't. Missed opportunity!

Glad to see there was a decent crowd yesterday.I looked at the prediction league yesterday and was surprised that nobody thought be such a good turnout. My own thought at the time was 410 so I would have been 5 out. With regard to the pies they of course have to be ordered in advance(or is there a pie tree that I dont know about). If the members of the prediction league had been doing the ordering you would still have been short of pies.

Cracking game I thought. I was pleased to see Bentham make valuable contributions when he came on in particular. Cracking save from Worsnop in second half as well.
See you Tuesday

But there's no explanation why the hut has been closed - the last few games they've been selling out of pies and snacks by the end of half time, so surely it's not because of lack of interest? Nice to see it was over 400 though, and if they play football of that quality every week, there'll be that many more often.

Nobody has mentioned that you lot in the posh seats were sharing the stand with the legend Sir Tom Finney. It was great to see him in the club after the match presenting the man of the match awards, in Guiseley's case to Danny Ellis and having his photo taken with him.

So nik and his pants got a mention over the tannoy but nothing about Sir Tom Finney being in attendance. I loved him in Billy Liar.

I'd promised I'd be at this game, so missed the intended trip to O** T******d to see the Grand Final.
Working in the morning, then took an hour to get to Nethermoor on the bus, tazzed up from Morrison's and arrived just after kick-off. Starting to get hungry now, so queued for a pie at half-time: the hot food ran with the person in front of me (not literally).
Had Guiseley in a treble with Crewe at Bradford and Burton at Grimsby: bah, for a gust of wind to blow that cross in at the death!
Tazzed back down for the train to town. Wifey ate my back-up tea, then ran out of time to bring a sarnie. Arrived just before kick-off. Finally had breakfast (fish pie) in packed pub at 7pm! Half the staff there are from Kendal. Victory!
Well, it was nearly the right result in both games. I was quite concerned by how Kendal outbeefed us for 20 minutes, but felt we then sorted things out and were unfortunate not to convert one of the subsequent crosses.
Kendal seemed less accomplished than last season; at times, their passing was atrocious (and not just the bedevilled No. 2!). Can only hope it persists for at least one more match.
Surprised at the published crowd - I thought it seemed smaller. Perhaps the paucity of pies?
Won't be able to get time off from work to go to the replay, but I'm confident the lads will do the job.

But there's no explanation why the hut has been closed - the last few games they've been selling out of pies and snacks by the end of half time, so surely it's not because of lack of interest? It's lack of staff, not interest - you want to volunteer and supplement your meagre public sector salary Nik (and all the pies you can eat, hang on - maybe on second thoughts no, we want to leave some for the punters {LOL})? The previous staff are now away at Uni and there have, as yet, been no replacements forthcoming - hence the reason why only one of our "fine footy dining" establishments was open yesterday. Any of your 6th formers fancy a Sat job? (and get to watch the footy)

Volvoman - there might be some mileage in this from a youth work perspective. I'll investigate with the 'relevant bodies' and post to you off-site if it seems possible.
Is there a minimum age for any reason (H&S, league rules, what-have-you)? Don't worry, I'm not advocating child labour!
