Who or what is Columbus Crew? Nik, I believe the reference is in respect of your "valley speak" response ("Awesome, I'm sooooo there"). Columbus Crew is a US MLS soccer team (from Columbus, Ohio) that were due to play us in a friendly earlier this year (March I think) - as usual it was rained off! They did turn up and hand out some freebies for those who had arrived at Nethermoor anyway (was called off very late that evening!) They were doing a European pre-season (MLS season) tour and we were to be their only non-league opposition. They also played Liverpool, I think, among others (or was it Tranmere reserves?) It was arranged via our then coach Mark Ellis, who spends his summers coaching out in the USA. I've searched the forums and the "Scrapyard" but can't find much reference to this friendly now. Not sure why - we were quite excited about it - I think we'd have spanked them!

All called Guiseley AFC Supporters, one had over 170 members, another 8 and the other even less. Can we have a link? (Go to page, copy header url and paste here)

So what you're saying is the fact that I learned my day-to-day vocabulary from Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles cartoons in the early 90s and never learned to speak like an adult makes me sound like an American when I type?
