FINAL SCORE. Frickley Athletic 0 Guiseley 3. Thoroughly deserved win, scoreline a fair reflection of Guiseley,s domination. Apart from a 15 minute spell at the start of the second half, Frickley never really threatened.

Well done lads, I've been looking for the score on the Sky Sports "ticker" but then I realised they've probably not sent the pigeon off with it yet!
Thanks as usual to CDP for his sterling work in keeping us informed.

Not a great game, they were low on skill and laboured as a team ... however, not easy to beat as they were still quite physical. Ellis and Cotterill again had great games, Burts, Tucky and Walshaw all worked very hard, Muller and Joynes both looked dangerous when they came on, but MOTM surely Needham again.
Frickley was a dump - but an adorable dump. Loved the cowshed main stand and rendered walls all the way round the pitch. One or two of the locals a bit rough and ready (could see how things could turn nasty there) but they gave up and left once we were in control.
Highlights for me: - Nik [to Guiseley fans round the corner from where we were stood]: "Your flag's upside down." Guiseley fans: "Your eyes are upside down!" - "Go on Simon Ellis" "Well in, Simon Muller" "Unlucky Simon Needham" "Good work Simon Steve Cotterill" ......... "Keep it simple, Simon!"

A solid team performance today. Great to have Muller back.
What we showed today was strength in depth. Needham as solid as a rock in midfield with Burton and Walshaw very difficult to knock off the ball. Cotty again was solid and the full-backs Merris and Lloyd pushed up well.
Great travelling support. Well done folks. It's a shame that the 'lady' in the fan shop threatened to put her effing walking stick up our effing backsides for cheering Liam's goal. I did hang around, but alas, it failed to materialise.
Did anyone count our supporters in and out of the ground. I'm sure I saw a lynch mob looking for Nik and his brother at the end.
Did anyone notice the lack of apostrophes on their signage today. I was outraged.

Don't worry Simonmeister, Simon Nik and Simon Tim made it back to an unvandalised car in one piece.
Simon Merris had a good game as well as you say. But good grief, lets not start on apostrophe's on a Saturday night.
See you for more of the same next Saturday!

Fantastic team performance,we are really looking strong in every department. Why we can't play at home like we play away is a total mystery?Never seen a ref give everything to Frickley first half, then give everything to us second half .At least he was consistant......

Here's what the Frickley fans thought of today's game. Frickley 1 Post subject: Re: GUISELEY. IT COULD BE A HARD GAME TODAY.Posted: Sat Oct 31, 2009 8:00 pm Joined: Sat Aug 16, 2008 10:45 am Posts: 533 Well after the Ashton and Guiseley games we now know where we are as a team, a bottom half of the league team IMO. We where totally out played in both game but we did our best so what more can we ask. I think its time for the board to ask themselfs the question are we happy just to survive in the Unibond Prem or have the board got any ambition to take the club up the football league pyramid. I think its time for the board to be honest with the supporters and say what they think is the future of the club so that the supporters can make up their minds weather they want to support a club with very little ambition or not.But if the board do have anbition what are they going to do to get us out of this bottom of the league we have survived mentality. We are out of the two FA cups and near the bottom of the league again. What do you lot think? I have my own views. Let the real supporters speak. PLEASE. Top forest blue Post subject: Re: GUISELEY. I would like to own a Rolls Royce but reality means that I would not be able to pay my way. If we are playing well in the league and have a good cup run each season then I am happy with that. We were nearly were promoted a few years ago. The ground was not up to the required grade. Money would need to be spent in addition to paying higher wages, travel etc. Teams like us have had ambition above their station are now paying for it, by falling behind with payments to the tax man wages etc. and may not even be in existence in the future. Not only at our level is this happening. Ex League clubs Scarborough, Halifax, plus Accrington, Farsley, Weymouth to mention but a few...If you have a large sum of money Frickley1 which to invest in the club to help the ambition you may have I am sure it would be welcomed. Regarding todays game Guiseley were the better side, probably the best side to have been up the lane this season.
