I'm sure the FA will thoroughly investigate the reasons for the League's demise and put in place a programme of assistance, financial and otherwise, to ensure that competitions with similar problems do not follow suit.

Many a local league taking a kicking. Bradford league has gone. Leeds Red Triangle, 3 divisions in the mid 90s, gone. Harrogate league, 4 divisions 15 years ago, now down to 2 divisions.
Meanwhile, as is being said in many places, the rich get richer.

Not much chance of a reprieve I'm afraid as the West Yorks and Yorkshire Amateur Leagues have moved on and are far better run.

Harrogate Rail currently next to bottom of the bottom division of NCE. Shocking and sad.
