I have recently read James Milner,s book which is basically his answers to a wide range of aspects about his life as a top professional footballer. There are some of his fond memories of attending Nethermoor with his father and he mentions a trip to Wembley for an FA Trophy final when he obviously meant FA Vase. We will forgive him that as he must have a fondness for the club as he remembers playing The computer game Football Manager with his team mates and he used Guiseley as his club to manage with the ultimate objective or wlnnlng the Champion, league!!!!!!!! It crossed my mind that if his affinity with us is as strong as it appears would it be an idea to make our chairman aware of this and establish from JM if investment in the club would be of interest? James grew up in the area and what a legacy that could possibly be.

I understand he has already made a big investment in sport in his home town of Horsforth. He also runs a charity foundation so maybe has spent enough of his own money.

But he could be made a club ambassador or given some other honorary position.
