Thought the lads did well today and earnt every penny in some of the worst conditions this season (cant remember being as cold for ages). Back 5 top drawer - Dave Merris fitted in and balanced the line - caught Bruskill out off side a lot which blunted them throughout the game, only allowing a couple of real chances. We looked to have coped better overall so got the feeling if it had been a nice day we would have put a lot past them? Looking forward to Monday - lets hope the predicted snow goes away and we can maintain the momentum until the end of the season now. Are we likely to be able to hang on to Tuck? he has been a really tricky forward as again today and could be the key to completing the season off and a great foil for Hanson and Fernandez R IF you want to watch tucky he is appearing at the nest bank hoilday Monday 3pm loan over.

Shame if that is true. Don't stick him on the bench to fester though, you have got to start with him or it would be a waste of time guiseley having got him in form. If you want to watch him next season you will have to go to Port Vale. R

One door closes and another revolving ever more slowly for others with a few days left of shuffling through. Nobody need leave, other than recalled loanee's, as all will be needed from now on.

I just want to add my congratulations to all involved on Friday. A superb performance in dreadful conditions with a dogged determination to claim all three points. If this determination continues then we have a better chance than the others in the play off race.
I made a somewhat hasty post a week or two ago regarding Liam Tuck not being good enough. Since that post I think Tucky has shown more of what he is capable of and proved me wrong. Well done to Liam and all the best for the future.
That said I maintain that Gav Knight remains the best player to be along side James Hanson. Whatever went on behind the scenes really should have been dealt with head to head in a far more professional manner. Throwing him out on loan was a very poor decision for the club.
All in my humble opinion of course!

Bruno came on for Liam in the last 10 at Whitby. Yet to be proven at this level but no doubt he will be tried on Monday.........

Bruno will do well if given chance. I have had the benefit of seeing him play for his previous club Selby Town and they rated him higly. The Selby area weekly newspaper said he had a two week trial at Licnoln City and other clubs were looking closely at him. I understand our reserve manager watched him as well before joining. As with other players sometimes you have to take a gamble and a risk or two. Some players will adjust and cope well with the step up in standard and some don't. Bruno is full of engery, stamina and drive to do well for himself and his team. He could score goals whilst being tightly marked but uses this marking to take defenders out of position. He does well on heavy pitches as now and great on good surfaces. Unfortunately, as with any new player, he may need two or three matches to settle in with a new team in order to begin showing what he can do.
