With both centre-backs Dan Husband and Tom Higman in the first team squad and the Reserves having little cover in that department striker Luke Hudson and midfielder John Douglas took the centre-back roles in a 4-1 win at Yorkshire Amateurs. The club new to the league this season are really struggling and I bet the fear of God was put in them when our management team, of Vincent Brockie and Stuart Gray signed on to take their places on the subs bench! Fortunately for Ammers they did not deem it necessary to play. Goals for Guiseley came from Chris Davey (2), Liam Robinson and Rob Bradley. Team: Steve Thompson; Callum White, Luke Hudson, John Douglas, John Cullen; Adam Hill, Mark Wilby, Joe Hendrie, Chris Davey; Liam Robinson, Rob Bradley. Subs Anthony Graham, Vince Brockie, Stuart Gray.
Next Saturday The Reserves set out on the Wharfedale FA Cup trail at Otley Rovers (2pm kick-off) in which they will face former Guiseley players Peter Atkinson and Scott and Adam Cater.
