A poor second-half display in which they clearly lost their momentum saw the Reserves lose 3-1 at Harrogate on Wednesday night.
In the first-half they had played some decent football but quite often the final pass was misplaced preventing them turning their superiority into goals.
Harrogate took the lead against the run of play but Chris Davey produced yet another stunning goal to equalise.
The second-half started with Ben Imeson replacing veteran Steve Thompson in goal. Guiseley were never able to pick up their first-half momentum and drifted out of the game Harrogate smashing in two goals to take the points. A better performance will be needed in Saturday's Wharfedale FA Challenge Cup tie against Guiseley Red Lion at Micklefield Park, Rawdon (1.30pm kick-off).
The team at Harrogate was: Steve Thompson (Ben Imeson 46 mins); Callum White, Tom Higman, Luke Hudson, John Cullen; Adam Hill, John Douglas, Joe Hendrie (Mark Wilby), Chris Davey; Danny Forrest (Fernando Moke), Rob Bradley. Unused sub: Dan Sharry.
Again we had our usual supporters in the White, Davey, Hill and Douglas families and of course our goalkeeper warmer upper young Jordan Thompson and a thankyou to them for their unending support. The White's must spend all their time on the road at the moment, the previous night they had been at Derby County to see young Aidan come on as a sub for Leeds then on Wednesday they supported Callum in his Notre Dame college game and then on to Harrogate for the Reserves match. Such dedication needs a better reward than what we collectively produced at Harrogate so come on boys, make it count against Red Lion.
