James Nestor scored all four goals as Guiseley Reserves notched their third successive win in the game at Harrogate Railway on Wednesday night. Guiseley had the edge throughout with some incisive play and Nestor revelled in the service. The scoreline could have been trebled with the chances created. An unfortunate side to the game was that two Railway players ended up in hospital one young lad in a bad way (suspected broken ankle) after he landed badly after going up for a header. It put a bit of a dampner on a game that was another feast of football from these two exciting young sides. Fantastic fitness and excellent support throughout and as ever Guiseley powered away in the second-half piling the pressure on. Team: Ben Higginson; Callum White, Calum Strodder, Dan Husband, Danny Todd; Adam Hill, Craig Bentham, Tom Higman (Sam Robinson), Liam Robinson (Will Boye); James Nestor, Luke Hudson (Adam Edwards). Suybs not used Chris McCarthy, Clark Lydon. Vinnie made a triple substitution around the 70 minute mark.
The Reserves move on to visit Farsley Celtic next Tuesday night at Throstle Nest. Wonder if they will put out the same team that slammed Eccleshill 11-1? See you there.

The Reserves are at Farsley Celtic tonight with a 7.45pm kick-off. Anyone fancy the short trip to Throstle Nest to give us some support? We will be looking to extend our winning run to four games so come on down and get behind the Ressies.

Would really have liked to have gone tonight, but was unable to in the end. However, I'd be really interested to hear how we went on...

2-0 to Guiseley. Fortunate penalty in the first half (ball to hand surely) and a break away goal in the second. Don't know who either scorers were. Twas a better standard than I was expecting and a draw would have been a fairer result. Kitty was in attendance so perhaps he is thinking about stepping someone up, although no-one obviously stood out for me.

Definite handball after a fine Callum White cross. Graham Shaw netted the second No first teamers in the Guiseley side. Farsley looked good in the opening stages but Guiseley's superior fitness gradually wore them down. Farsley had two or three early chances but Ben Higginson was safe as houses in goal for Guiseley. Dan Husband and Calum Strodder were generally in control at the back with two pacey and tenacious full-backs in Callum White and Danny Todd. Will Boye and Graham Shaw ran their hearts out for the team up front where Luke Hudson was lacking due to a seven day suspension (for bookings with his Sunday side). Liam Robinson and Adam Edwards were the wide midfielders who never stopped running. The Guiseley subs used were Sam Robinson, Will Hutton and Adam Hill - all teenage midfielders. This Guiseley team battles for each other and never gives in and to beat a good side like Farsley and comfortably in the end was a real boost. The Farsley manager rated us a very good side and that's enough for me. Farsley had their best Reserve game crowd of the season so thanks to all the Guiseley families who turned up to support their sons and to first team manager Kitty and director Stuart Allen for showing their support. The Reserves visit Yorkshire Amateurs on Saturday.

First time I've seen the Reserves this season and must say I'm impressed by their organisation and workrate. Good win in the end both teams created openings but the Lions always looked as though they would come out on top. Penalty was debatable for me; some get given, some don't. Crowd probably nearly as many as FC get for a home game.

Cracking win for the lads; probably the best overall result within the club so far this year? Really looking forward to the next home game because this is a very watchable side...
