WOW!!!!! What a game against the current League leaders Harrogate Town - how we found ourselves 2-3 down at half-time I will never know.....
We played some great free flowing football - something we have been asking them to do since my appointment - and were rewarded with a fine victory. Every player gave 100% which is all you can ask for!!!!
For the record Paul Wills grabbed a hat-trick with Adam Edwards and Duncan Beckwith getting on the score sheet.
It was good to see so many fans there today - what did you think of the game?
And to see Graham Ashington the Assistant Referee who I haven't seen for 16 years since our days of working at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre!!!
Thanks to Rachel and Kate O'Conner for doing all the work they do plus John (?) on the gate and my Assistant Stuart Gray for his help and support.
GUISELEY: Alex Woodcock gk, Callum White, Danny Todd, Lee Williamson, Calum Strodder, Will Hutton, Sam Robinson, Chris Davey(c), Adam Edwards, Paul Wills, Danny Berry. Subs: Adam Hill (for Sam), Jamie Cairns (for Lee), Duncan Beckwith (for Chris), Graham Shaw (not used), Clark Lydon gk (not used)
I will do a fuller report with the Harrogate Town team sheet later.
Regards
Mick

PS - We won 5-3. ;D
Speaking as an occasional supporter of the ressies, this was the best all-round display I've seen for a long time. Harrogate are clearly no mugs, but even being a goal down for so long we always looked like getting something out of the game and our strength, control and incisive passing saw us home in a tremendous last quarter. Both 'keepers had 'Skiba-esque' afternoons, combining some excellent saves with moments they'd rather forget, but the team performance and finishing were excellent.

thought first half was as good as ive seen the ressies play. completely bossed the game and created at least 10 chances on another day i think we could have gone in at h/t 5 0r 6 to the good. the 7 outwide right created 3 or 4 chances for himself and the blonde lad in middle had two good efforts. Look at darren gibson from man utd he had 5 or 6 shots off target before he scored agen west ham the other day. second half i thought guiseley come out like a train and then the game seemed to lull a bit for twenty mins or so.. then the goals came as harrogate were pinned back. A cracking game to watch!
