Please also mention in your report the shocking, below-par tactics. The lads deserved better than this. We started off with a centre back running around in midfield, and then came two bizarre half-time substitutions when our two best performing players were inexplicably taken off. They were a centre back who had not put a foot wrong, and a pacy striker hacked down on his way though by the last defender, which should have resulted in Otley being reduced to 10 men. Sadly, we stuck to the same rigid formation throughout, and were not even ambitious enough to try three proper strikers up front at any stage of the match - surely worth a gamble when you're chasing the game in a semi-final with time running out. Plenty of other things to work on - such as indecisive defending which gifted three goals to the opposition, players running with their heads down and not releasing the ball quickly enough to better-placed teammates, and wasteful crosses to front men feeding on scraps. But at the end of the day, Guiseley did have the talent to have beaten nothing more than a workmanlike Otley side and should be going on to lift that cup.
