To say we were robbed would be an understatement – how we weren’t 5-0 up at half-time is beyond belief. Those that were there will surely back up my statement – even the officials commented how unlucky we were!!! We absolutely battered Ossett Albion Reserves with a lot more passion and desire than our mid-week defeat against Farsley Celtic. Chris Davey ran the show in the centre of mid-field and it was he who worked hard to get a penalty and he stepped up to convert it.

At the break I warned the players that they needed to convert their chances – they didn’t listen to the advise as Ossett equalised with a 20 yard shot that ‘deceived’ our goalkeeper.
With the clock ticking away, we crashed the ball against the cross bar and had a goalmouth scramble that was cleared to our half way line – Ossett broke away to score an undeserved winner.

TEAM MANAGERS THOUGHTS.......................................
I felt sorry for the players who after a good performance, didn’t deserve to be on the end of a 1-2 defeat. Our title hopes are now over.
For the Ossett match I would like to thank Brian for staffing the gate, Rachel O’Connor for her invaluable help and Kate O’Connor for being the physio and a good helper – my Assistant Stuart Gray was away in Glasgow visiting family
