No, at my nephew's wedding. Put the kit out before I went tho, is that OK! Reserves lost 5-3 at Beeston, Liam Robinson completing his hat-trick at exactly the same moment Leeds United scored just 100 yards away. The cheer Liam got from 15,000 people was amazing! Had him confused for a moment! Ressies have a friendly at Relay in Bradfors on Thursday and then start their league programme at Ossett Town on August 16th. First home game August 28th v Eccleshill. Last season's Player of Year just had knee op and could be out for 6 months.

I think Relay Recruitment Rovers play in the Bradford Sunday League, home ground last season was Myra Shay off Barkerend Road (Barkerend Rd/B6381), Bradford.
From Rawdon take the A658 towards Bradford, on reaching the Ring Road traffic lights (A6177 - Robin Hood pub opposite), turn left and carry on past Bradford Moor Park on your left. Turn right at lights with Habibs Restaurant also on left into Barkerend Road towards Bradford City Centre and as as you drop down the hill the entrance to the Myra Shay car park and playing fields in on the right.

The Reserves gave a good performance at Relay winning 4-2 with two goals each for Adam Edwards and Grant Roberts. Mark Wilby made his first appearance following a back injury last season and gave a good performance in midfield which is a bonus as the reserves are expecting to now be without young midfielder Sam Robinson for some weeks with an ankle problem. He joins Jamie Cairns and Danny Todd on the injured list. Chris Ndukuba converted to centre-back to play alongside Sam Jacomb in a game in which Guiseley played the ball around well and worked hard for each other which was pleasing for manager Vince Brockie. Will Boye made a welcome appearance and hopes to be available for some league games despite now working in London. Clark Lydon made some excellent saves and young right-back Josh Arnold looks as if he will make a telling contribution to the team in the coming season. For Monday's opening league game at Ossett Town (7.45pm) Liam Robinson and Sam Whittaker will be available after missing the Relay game and some of Steve Kittrick's first team squad members may get a run out. The team at Relay was: Clark Lydon; Josh Arnold, Chris Ndukuba, Sam Jacomb, Tas Liolios; Adam Edwards, Mark Wilby, Danny Berry, Will Boye; Chris McCarthy, Grant Roberts. This game could be the last for a while in a Guiseley shirt for Adam Edwards who is returning to coaching in the USA.

Reserves had their game called off last week due to work being done on the ground. This Saturday they are at Pontefract. The following Saturday we entertain Mick Couzens' BPA so that should be a good game.
