Hello and welcome to the latest edition of my weekly blog.
This week I am previewing the massive match ahead of us tomorrow as Luton Town visit Nethermoor for a mouth watering FA Trophy Quarter Final clash.
Last time we met in November 2002 Luton Town were victorious 4-0 in the FA Cup First Round.
But this time round the sides are much closer together with only one league separating us. This should make it a closer and more enthralling game.
Going in to the game both teams are on a mixed run of form but have been involved in a lot of cup games.
Luton have won and drawn twice each in their last five league games.
Guiseley too only have a couple of wins under their belt in the last five Blue Square North encounters.
The fans I spoke to on Tuesday night following the 0-0 bore draw at Harrogate think we have a great chance here.
It’s at home and with a raucous crowd behind us and Luton missing a few players, the stage could be set for a memorable victory.
Walshaw will hopefully be back in the side and with him possibly being joined by Toulson and Ellis, we have the metal to undo the screws (if you pardon the pun).
We need to get at Luton from the start, assert our authority and be sure not to give them too much respect.
With the final at Wembley Guiseley have all the opportunities ahead of them, it’s all about taking them.
Get yourself down to Nethermoor where the likes of Otleybard, Yeadoner and Volvoman will be lurking in the Guiseley shadows
That’s it for this week folks.
Next week I will look at the fixtures we have left to play this season.
