Hello and welcome to the latest edition of my weekly blog.
This week, having discovered I already covered the highs and lows of the season earlier this term, I am going to take a look at the Telford game and the Premier League squeaky bum day.
First of all well done to the lads for an amazing season, like every match this season we gave the play off final our all and were unfortunate to lose in the manner we did.
The Telford game started off with a 20 minute queue in to the club’s only away turnstile. Doing this was ridiculous; the other turnstile should also have been open.
After going down 1-0 to a harsh penalty, we persevered to equalise through a penalty of our own on the stroke of half time.
As the Telford fans were getting back in the seats and we were getting back in the terraces, we went ahead through Darryn Stamp.
The dream was on but with just 11 minutes to go Telford equalised and then the killer blow came deep in to injury time when Telford struck the winner through Phil Trainer.
We couldn’t have asked for any more of the players, they all looked knackered after the added time and penalties a week earlier.
It was disappointing to see the Telford fans taunt us on the pitch after that game and get away with that behaviour.
Once again, well done to the lads who have done us proud this season and good luck to Telford in the Blue Square Premier.
So, there’s a massive day ahead today in the Premier League with 5th place still up for grabs and 2 of 5 teams set to find themselves in the Championship next season.
With Wigan playing Stoke, Birmingham taking on Tottenham, Blackpool at Man United and Blackburn and Wolves facing off it is set to be an exciting day.
A lot of people’s eyes will be glued to the screen, particularly the fans of the team’s concerned.
It has been a strange season with many teams out of form and West Ham dropped with just one week to go.
You can watch all the action on Sky Sports and this year you can even watch three games on one screen at the same time.
That’s it for this season folks.
Have a fantastic close season and thank you to all for viewing my blog and I look forward to seeing you all again next season.
