After our first full year of the Supporters Club we will have our first AGM on Sunday 5th August at 13:15 in the clubhouse. (before the BBQ) All members are invited to attend.
The current committee will therefore step down. We will post which of the current committee wish to be put forward for reelection. Anyone wishing to put themselves forward for the committee should attend on the day.
The Supporters has had a successful year and have held a number of social events. This has allowed us to sponsored two matches and provided the new nets.
In addition we have provided programme sellers for most games and supported on turnstiles when needed.
Lastly we have provided a bus to every away game this season. This is mainly due to the hard work of Paul.
Going forward the Supporters Club will get stronger and aim is always to support the club in its progress.
Lastly the open day/ painting day was suggested by the Supporters Club so it would be great to see as many people turn up as possible.

Didn't get a chance to thank Paul and Adam at the end of the season, for all the hard work involved with the running of the Supporters Club. Organising social events(which are very important if we are to help the club)with money raising events, and giving the supporters "a voice" within the club. Special thanks for our trips to the away games,we have bercome quite a happy band of travellers.Looking forward to our away days allready.

Would agree with above but Sue and Craig also do a lot of hard work for the Supporters Club. A big thanks to Adam and Paul for running the Supporters Buses to each and every away game because without them me and my dad wouldn't be able to go watch Guiseley AFC away AB

With the weather being how it is at the moment will the painting day still be on if it is raining? I suppose it will be ok if we are painting indoors AB

All credit to Paul and Adam for the hard work they doing in making sure the supporters, member or otherwise, can get to away games safely and cost-effectively.

Cracking job done by all involved.
Is there any positions being created?

Adie, it's perfectly normal procedure for committee members to resign and offer themselves for re-election (if they so wish) on a yearly basis, usually at the AGM. It stops people getting too power crazed!! If you wanted to then you can always stand against one of them if you wish to see them diposed (for example, if you think they're doing a c**p job and you can do better).
Fortunately we have a harmonious team/committee but this is not always the case.
There has to be a mechanism whereby the body of the club (the members) can show their displeasure with the committee/members thereof - this is it. It is part of the constitution of the Supporters' Club.

The committee members listed below have shown their interest in being re-elected at the AGM, with the exception of Steve Roberts (who is happy to continue to support but unable to commit) and Simon Willis who was involved in the setup but has not been seen at Nethermoor or contactable. Kevin Collier is happy to continue but is willing to set down should another person wish to join the committee.
Chairperson – Adam Hodgson Vice Chairperson and Liaison Officer – Sue Clapham Secretary – Craig Shearstone Treasurer – Paul McGreavey
Committee Members: Kevin Collier John Bridson Tony Firth Steve Roberts Simon Willis Adam Bridson
Any who is interested in joining the committee or wants more information can email me at gafcsupporters@aol.com.
