Just to advise Steve Burton our new signing is actually 24 not 20 as it says on the homepage.

Thank goodness for that; eleven clubs by the age of 20 would have raised questions! Even so, there are a lot of relegated teams on that CV - let's hope Steve's career as a winner starts now.

We brought up the subject about the number of clubs he had and quite a few of them were loan moves which does tend to happen when you are at professional clubs and you are a young lad.His last 2 clubs are of more interest Steve was full time at Kettering and joined Harrogate Town at xmas on non contract. The lad has got good pedigree and will be a good signing for us,hes versatile too and can play equally effectively at striker or c/mid.

Wikipedia............. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Burton_(footballer_born_1983) * Jeff Stelling named Burton as the worst footballer that Boston United have ever had in his book entitled England's Worst Footballers, mainly due to inability to complete a full 90 minutes in the Football League. * To date Burton still hasn't completed a full 90 minutes in League Football despite playing eight times for Boston United and playing six Football League games for Doncaster Rovers.

Hey come on lads. That's 4 new signing & we're only just into June. All 4 from higher up the footy pyramid as well.
Surely, we should be forming our opinion's once we've seen them play at least in a couple of pr-season friendlies ?
I don't remember Mr Dolan making new signings this earlier in the close season.
I for one an looking forward to seeing the lads warm-up games starting next month.

Seen him play a few times for Harrogate last season. He tended to drift in and out of a game. Some nice touches and fairly strong, but you tended to feel that he did not have a big enough impact on the game. Might be that dropping down a division will see him have more influence on proceedings.

If he is on his game, Burts will prove to be a good buy for you guys, however in other games he is very hit or miss - I think the word is effort with Steve.
Anyway good luck to the lad and good luck to you guys this season!

You've got the start of a new chant for next season. You might need to work on it a bit but I can picture you now, the first misplaced pass that Burton makes, you'll be piping up "Typical Guiseley always signin players that sometimes are rubbish." Whether the chant catches on or not might depend on what tune you set it to. What about to the tune of "Always look on the bright side of life"?....da-do-da-do. da-do-da-do-da-do (or change the da-do's to ow-dos for a more Yorkshire theme).
