In last nights dramatic FA Youth Cup match, Guiseley came away from Brighouse with a 3-1 win. After being 1-0 down at half time, it was all to fight for in the second half by both teams. On the 50th minute Ben Whitfield took a shot on from the edge of the area which found the bottom corner. With Guiseley pressing more and more but not finding the target, all thoughts were starting to turn towards extra time. This was until in the 85th minute when Luke Porritt's shot which was on target spun off a defender and sent the keeper the wrong way to make it 2-1 to Guiseley. Due to the minutes and seconds running out for Brighouse, they pushed forward for the equaliser. This left Guiseley the chance to counter attack which they did through Redmond Lee and Dale Spink. Redmond's pace and great pass through to Dale meant all he had to do was slot it in the net to finish off the game. After his great goal celebration, the game was restarted and seconds later the final whistle was blown. In the next round of the cup, it'll be Guiseley v Hall Road Rangers played next week at Nethermoor. Further details on this fixture to follow
