Wayne,
Just a couple of questions.
Firstly are we planning to sign anymore players. ( I understand you can't give names etc) but do you have any info.
Secondly, With the movement of player ove the past couple of weeks, have you got a retained list. I understand you may not want to post it on here, however may clubs publish this on their main website. Please could you speak to the powers that be, and see what you can do.
Thank you and here is to a sucessful season....

Thanks, Wayne.
So, no Lee Crooks, then.
What types of player would people hope/expect to see fill the gaps? I'd say a specialist right back, a ball-winning midfielder and another goalkeeper. And perhaps a Marc Smith playalike for Plan B.
Are any of last season's Reserves ready to step up?

Lee Crooks has been on a long holiday and Steve hasnt had chance to speak to him yet,OB is correct a keeper, right back, midfielder and a forward are on the radar but after getting five signings in pretty quickly things have slowed down a touch due to holidays among other things. The next couple of weeks should see more activity.

Whitelions, lets give the management a chance please !! Its only June..Nobody as seen the new signings..So lets all wait until we have seen the new players/ playing together ,hopefully bonding in pre season friendlies..I honestly feel with Hanson and Muller up front we are gonna score lots and lots of goals.....Plus with Ellis and Crossley in the heart of the defence we will have one of the tightest defences....Plenty to look forward to i think........I know your not having a go Whitelions and you want Guiseley to do well,In the words of A.B. LOL..............................................

Good call, OB, about the Marc Smith playalike. We don't want to go back to the Parsley days of the monotonous ball into the channels bypassing midfield, but when the passing game isn't working e.g Stamford at home, we do need a plan B (especially when the conditions make passing difficult). In that game there were calls on the pitch to 'stay patient' just when I was thinking 'show some urgency'. It's great that we are being kept informed of what is going on,

Hi Wayne,
Could you let us know whether Jonathan Fernandez has left the club? I didn't see his name on the list of next season's players, and just wondered whether he had, for whatever reason, moved on...

Seem to remember that when we signed JF it was reported that it was only until the end of the season.
Also, are we to deduce that Paul Rickers has been allowed to move on?

No Jonathon wont be returning this season. He is a great lad with unbelieveable ability but as you all know this league is physical and demanding and coupled with the fact that the lad doesnt speak English we felt we needed players who know the demands of the Unibond.I really admire the lad, coming to a foreign country and a different culture to play his football is very brave in my opinion,i personally think he could play in the football league as maybe those leagues are not as fast and furious and there is more emphasis on technique but until he can get by with the language i dont think people will take the chance on him.As i said he is a great lad and the rest of the players really took to him,as was shown when he scored at Whitby, all the players made a point of celebrating with him.Whatever he does i wish him well he was very popular with all of us in his time at gafc

With regards to the questions,if i can answer them i will,i think it is productive to let you guys know what is happening at an important time of year.Paul Rickers hasnt been at the club for a while, after getting injured against Eastwood he just seemed to drift away, probably realising his chances of playing would be limited.

Best wishes to both of them.
I always felt that the unseasonably-heavy pitches prevented our seeing the best of Jonathan.
