Hello, gr1, and welcome to the Forum. Yours is a question that comes up every now and again, and the simple answer is no. There's a small group of us dedicated fans/masochistic saddoes (delete as applicable) who try to get to all Guiseley's away games, but we tend to make our individual arrangements, car shares etc. A larger group will turn up at games in Yorkshire/East Lancs, but again it's on an ad hoc basis. With the recent increase in fuel prices (and the global predictions that might turn out to be even more important than the Unibond Premier promotion race) we're probably at the point where some sort of organized communal transport might prove more attractive (although, of course, the cost would have to be similarly greater). On a different tack, over the last couple of seasons the travelling fans have often seen the best of GFC, many of the away games providing success and entertainment that dwarfed some of the frustrating home displays. Of course, the Law of Sod suggests that the provision of transport might coincide with spineless away performances and Nethermoor's becoming a fortress. With the addition of several more well-supported clubs to the UPL this year, there'll be occasions when the Nethermoor faithful will be matched or even dwarfed by the visiting presence; creating a reverse of that situation would seem to be beyond us for the foreseeable (except at Ossett Town . But I for one would be delighted to see things improve to the extent where a large and vocal white-and-blue army can be relied upon to get behind the lads from Kendal to Boston to Hednesford, and organized travel could only help that. For financial and administrative (and historical) reasons, I doubt the club itself would be prepared to make the first move; to use the current buzzwords, the idea would need to ‘develop organically’, which would mean establishing interest and levels of commitment. Anybody up for it? Cheers OB
