The Unibond League has revealed details of a new sponsorship tie-in with Adidas and the PFA:
The UniBond League is delighted to announce an exciting new potential six-figure kit sponsorship deal with two of the biggest brands in world football. The new partnership will see the league working with the Professional Footballers Association (PFA), who celebrated their centenary last December, and their exclusive kit partner of the past eleven years, Adidas.
Through the new partnership, the 63 teams in all three UniBond divisions will be able to don the world-famous three stripes of Adidas playing and training wear, whilst fans will be able to purchase replica Adidas shirts through www.unibondleague.com
UniBond League clubs can now purchase Adidas kit for first team down to under 7’s, highlighting the PFA’s commitment to continually support all levels of the game through to grass roots.
The new two-year deal will see the UniBond League supply all their clubs with Adidas benchwear to all UniBond League clubs and will be worth a six figure sum if it is extended to a third season.
PFA Commercial Executive Ian Mellor, responsible for servicing the agreement at club level, stated “We are delighted with what we believe will be the start of a long and fruitful relationship with the UniBond League.”
UniBond League Chairman Peter Maude was equally delighted with the new partnership. “For the UniBond league to be able to work with both the PFA and Adidas in this way is a tremendous endorsement of the professionalism we are trying to bring to this level of the game. I hope this is the beginning of a relationship which will develop beyond the commercial involvement, enabling our clubs to work closely with an organisation which has the respect of the professional game in both our own country and abroad.”
The PFA and Adidas became the UniBond League’s preferred kit supplier in an agreement struck by the League’s Marketing & Sponsorship Group following a five-way competitive tender.
