Whilst we're having all these blank weekends, I find boredom is easily avoided (if sanity threatened) by investing a few pennies with the bookies.
Last week provided a more than tidy return on the latter stages of the Africa Cup of Nations, the games themselves also being interesting for various reasons.
Conversely, the second halves of both Wales-England and St Helens-Catalans were financial debacles.
Oh well, onto today's footy and a few gentle ups and downs. If I'd bothered to back up my Kane and Ozil to score in a 2-1 Spurs win, I might even have been able to afford a day out at the Shay (congratulations to Halifax as they finally managed to despatch Dartford from the Trophy today).
No matter. there is something far more heart-warmingly satisfying about (finally) getting an accumulator in on non-league affairs: 3+ goals: Brackley v Oxford C 4+ goals: Dover v Bath C Home: NFU v Ebbsfleet U Draw: Tamworth v Barrow
Now I must just be sure I don't go near the Merseyside derby,
