I have just been thinking what a fantastic squad we have for next season. All the players brought in are class players and i think its a credit to Steve and Benno that players of this class have decided to sign for Guiseley. Although some people raised a few eyebrows when Sturdy, Dunning etc where not offered new deals but to me with the players brought in it all makes sense i think the Muller and Hanson partnership could be the best in the league, Crossley everybody knows is a class above and the players already with us that we have not seen the best of who i am sure will become fans favourates this season, For me Lee Pugh is one of the best central Midfielders in the league and Cotty one of the best centre backs if fit, I move back to Scarborough to live tomorrow so won't be on for a while. Will see most of you at Liversedge next week and the rest i'm sure against Bradford at home,

All academic he's gone. What worries me more is all the talking up of players brought in last season that are supposed to be wonderful if a)fit and b)able to play due to work committments. A couple of superstars do not a TEAM make. Please please come Christmas make me grovell.

The club signed a new right-back last night in former Huddersfield Town, Torquay and York City player Anthony Lloyd. They also signed on former Bradford City reserve team player Liam Bartle. Don't forget the friendlies start next Tuesday with games at Liversedge and Brighouse Town.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_Lloyd - sounds a good addition to the team. Very little info on Liam Bartle, born 19/03/1990 also he is a left back , sure Wayne will have more info.

Anthony is an excellent signing for the club and has looked great in his first few training sessions. He was being chased by a couple of clubs in higher divisions so its another good bit of business for us.Liam rung and asked if he could come training and so far hes done quite well, but we do need to look at him in a couple of games before we make a decision on him.

Again another fantastic signing, i have seen Anthony play only a couple of times and he looked a class player and that was at Blue Square Prem level. For me a fantastic signing in a postion that needed improving from last year. Well done Gaffer and Benno.

LLoyd started last season with Farsley but didn't stay and went back to York where he also didn't get many games. I'm starting to think that a succession of Guiseley managers must think something along the lines of "He used to play for Farsley. He must be good. We'll have him"...only to then find out why Farsley didn't hang onto them. The exception to this being the wonderful Ryan Crossley who was afterall Farsley's third best central defender.

Don't know how you can call them Farsley plyaers other than for the fact they signed on for a short spell as they hardly played any of them but for Crossley. Just maybe there is an alternative message here. Guiseley believe in them and trying to give them a real chance to use their ability where Farsley couldn't, wouldn't or be arsed with doing it. With the big squad they had last season something had to give and some had to go somewhere. All the lads want to do is play regular football for a bob or two, not once in a blue square moon trip out and be expected to be stars as well - surely.
