Well, it's it's finally here at last, and even though we're only playing friendlies at the moment, this is where the fun really begins!...
Wouldn't it be good if we could:
1. Forget all last season's grumbles, disappointments and 'failures' and really get behind the team?
2. Give the management the benefit of any doubt and really get behind the badge. We're all here to see our team succeed, and no-one wants to fail.
3. Whatever our grumbles about the loss of our previous keeper and the judgement of the management on that, can we let it go now and give Piotr Skiba our full support? He needs to know that he's our keeper, and that we want him to do well.
4. Give the new players a chance to shine. Not many of us were happy when certain players were released, but the club pay people to do a job that you or me probably couldn't do. They deserve a fresh start and a clean sheet and the support of all of us.
5. Perhaps most importantly of all, can we just make each matchday a time when we have fun? This isn't high level politics, this is our local footy team. Can we, at least, try to enjoy it and have a laugh and keep a lid on some of the moans?
