For anyone who didn't get a programme, I just thought I'd mention that our Mr Kittrick put a piece in his notes about this Forum this afternoon.
He said that someone has rung him to tell what we'd been saying and that he should probably take a look at it for himself. Basically he just asked us to be patient while he tries to sort things out in his own particular way and said it's not as easy to sign new players as we probably imagine.
We used to moan that we were, largely, ignored but at least the new Manager mentioned us albeit if only to comment on our initial criticism of his reign. Wouldn't it be good if we could have some proper, open dialogue between the terraces and the Management?
Things might not be all that bad after all...

What do you want the manager to do ? Perhaps it would go something like this. Manager to directors i want to sign this player , Directors ,OK but clear it with Yeadoner and a few more forum posters first. Come on people get real.

Well, I can think of a couple of players we wouldn't have signed if that had been the case...Anyway, I'm not criticizing Mr Kittrick now; I've said elsewhere on the Forum this evening that the team were much, much brighter today, and that at least he took the time to read the Forum for himself.
Hello again PTFE, by the way, where were you this afternoon? Playing Subbuteo?

Don't think anybody is suggesting that the Forum members should pick the team. A good Manager knows more about his players - abilities, fitness, attitude, psychology, outside influences and lots of etceteras - than any ordinary fan can glean from watching them for ninety minutes twice a week.
But for a club to move forward, it's essential that all concerned, including the punters, are pulling in the same direction, and for that to happen communication is important. We're lucky at Guiseley to have a vibrant Forum, contributed to in the main by people with the club's interest at heart.
We'd all be interested to hear SK's views on tactics, his ideas on the way forward and how we can contribute (hopefully, beyond the usual 'enjoy the game and get behind the lads' programme-speak).
Similarly, it can't be anything other than useful for SK to find out what we're thinking; we've all been here longer than he has, and our views are often based on our knowledge of things that have taken place in the past. He'll have seen this afternoon for the first time that we will cheer and support not only skill but hard work, effort and positive attitude.
Football is similar to other retailing businesses in many respects but different in one particular way: we're in the same tent as the management, and 'p*ssing out' rather than in is healthier for all concerned.

And if we're not going to win the league at least we can get behind the team like we did today - and like we usually do, in fact - and have some fun between now and the end of the current season.

Yes nice one OB do you think SK is going to say were going 4-4-2 at home 4-5-1 away and 3-5-2 when were losing with 20mins to go NO because he can't show his hand . SO how can we have him talking tactics on the forum and giving the opposition a helping hand. Get real boys !

Don't be getting so serious, old bean. Remember, the one thing that unites the manager, the managed, the board, the Bard, the players, the fans, the men, the women, the kids and anybody else that goes is that we're there because it's meant to be GREAT FUN!..Just pull yourself together, my dear old PTFE, and try to just relax and ENJOY IT!

Any Manager in this Division who doesn't already know the opposition's basic tactical plans - without trawling the websites -wouldn't last five minutes in the job.

Do we really care about who is training with us and what's going on at Throstled Vest? If SK browswes the Forum then fair enough but he already knows what's expected so let him get on with the job and lets encourage the players. More dislays like yesterday and we will be back among the contenders soon enough.
